I get a Cardinals offense that defeated Oswalt recently, that has struggled, but considering Wainwright has a 3.60 ERA on the year, has pitched 7 straight quality starts, has not yielded a run in 7 innings to the Brewers this year, Bush had a 10.5, 15.75 ERA last year against the Cards, and Wainwright defeated him 8-0 earlier this year, I look for the Cardinals to win this price as a dog. Keep in mind that Wainwright shut down a Phillies offense by giving up just 4 hits and 1 run to them in 8 innings, he has done well all year and I think that continues today. Cards are 5-1 when Wainwright is a dog, 9-4 in his last 13 road starts and the Brewers are 2-9 in Bush's last 11 starts with a total this low, meaning that Bush does not do well in games that are expected to be pitcher's duels as he simply does not match up to that caliber of pitching.

Comments: INDIAN COWBOY SELECTION: Yankees Run-Line +101: This is a late addition b/c of the scratch overnight for Burnett. A game in which Burnett was starting, the Bluejays scratched him in place of Litsch. I was getting a bit excited about the under play this afternoon, but instead will settle for the Yanks Run-Line which I'm happy about as well. Look, the Yankees have been the best team in baseball since July 5th. They have gone on a ridiculous run, Pettitte did not do well against the Bluejays his last time out as he won the game but had a 4.77 ERA and for Pettitte's standards, that's not good enough. I think he bounces-back here with a 3.5 ERA performance or lower and Litsch is a good looking starter, but the Yanks didn't even allow him to finish the first inning the 1st time they faced him, the next time they gave him a 5.40 ERA in a game that they won 5-4. The Yanks simply have too much offense here and it will be tough for Litsch to duplicate that performance on the road against the Yanks. Bluejays are 0-5 when the total is set this high as their offense has been weak all season, 1-5 in their last 6 road games and the Yanks are 29-5 when Pettitte is favored by this margin.

Meche has been great for the Royals this year and he and Bannister have been a solid tandem for this team to build on in the future. Meche comes into this game worth every penny this team spent on him as this was a massive risk they took on him, which was heavily criticized by the league, but Meche has sucked up the criticism and produced a 3.70 ERA for this ballclub. Royals are 5-1 in their last 6 games facing a pitcher with a WHIP greater than 1.30, 4-0 following a loss and the O's have lost Cabrera's last 6 home starts.
