I think it's because of the wind factor and they were on the 3 yard line with a first down. I think if they didn't make it on first, they probably would kicked it.

I still cant believe how the stupid vikings just shot themselves in the foot..and it wasnt like they just did it once, it was over and over and over again. fumbles and penalties just sealed it for a loss
