Sunday's Action
500♦ Denver Nuggets
Take the Nuggets at home minus the cheap chalk.
If there was one team to watch out west it would be the Nuggets as heading into the playoffs Denver was on fire and will at least remain that way through the first round of the playoffs. You see discounting their regular season lost at home the Nuggets earned more than earned their #2 seeding thanks to having won 14 of 16 games, including 10 straight at home.
Meanwhile, for the Hornets if traveling to the thin cold air of Denver was tough enough dealing with the fact they lost 6 of their last 8 to end the season is going to be a hard thing to overcome, especially given the fact that the Nuggets have a defensive point guard in Billups to slow down Chris Paul and the Hornets offense.
Flat out, thanks to being at home and minus a smaller than expected number I look for Denver to more than take care of business here today as they coast by double digits.
All Denver!
100♦ Pittsburgh Pirates
Building off of their 10-0 victory on Saturday I look for the Pirates to earn the home sweep of the Braves today. Helping us out today will be the left arm of Zack Duke who has been short of amazing thus far going 2-0 with a 0.59 ERA in his two starts. Even better it was Duke to posted a 1-0 record with a 1.54 ERA in two starts last season vs. the Braves. Meanwhile, for the Braves even with Vazquez pitching with a banged up Chipper Jones and Yunel Escobar they don’t stand much of a change of winning today on the road. Flat out, behind the arm of Duke I look for the Pirates to earn the home sweep of the Braves.
All Pittsburgh!
