Colorado State +6.5 over Houston
Houston has dropped two straight games and has been away from home preparing for this game for two weeks due to the Hurricane Ike. Picture yourself not sleeping in your own bed or having a home cooked meal for two weeks. Now picture yourself playing in one of the highest altitudes you can play at in College Football (5000 ft). The Houston offense is great, but the defense is pretty bad. Look for the Rams to get the running game going and to wear down this Houston squad. Take Colorado State
Navy +5.5 over Rutgers
Navy has one of the best offenses in the nation and the Rutgers defense doesn't ever really practice against the triple option. Rutgers has gotten off to a bad start, but I do think their offense will come around. Navy doesn't have the best defense and today would be a perfect day for Rutgers QB Mike Teel to have a breakout game. The big question in this game for Rutgers is when do they get the offense back on track? If it takes a few drives it might be too late as they could already be trailing by 14. Rutgers has not looked good and until they can prove otherwise they are in the category of a bad football team. Take Navy.
Wake Forest +5 over Florida State
Wake came down to Tallahassee and crushed FSU 30-0 two years ago. FSU will be looking for revenge in a big way at home, but you cannot deny that Wake is one of the most complete teams in college football. The Deacons have a Good defense and great QB and one of the best kickers in the game. Florida State has cruised by their first two opponents, but they were no names schools. Everyone all of a sudden thinks FSU has fixed their passing game because of the two prior wins this year. We will see how they do against a really tough defense that seems to have their number now. Take Wake Forest.
Tennessee +7.5 over Florida
For the success that Tennessee has with Fulmer as head coach people really get on this guy for not winning the big games. Florida won by 39 pts last year, but this year I believe Tennessee gets the running game going and keeps Tebow off the field for the Gators. The betting public is all over the Gators, but this is one of those SEC games where all the stats point to Florida and somehow they lose or just get by kicking a late FG. Take the Vols.
