Vegas Runner continues to struggle on the diamond!

Frustrating week for new followers. He won a 3 star(2 stars worth moneyline,1 star on the runline)on the White Sox but his other Heavy Hitters shit the bed.2 star burials on Atlanta & Oakland(neither team led during the game).MLB Heavy Hitters sides now 5-10 this week!:poop:

Rumored that a few Big Brown bettors

offed themselves after seeing Desormeaux ease the horse(no chance to hit the board anyway).Five & six figure sums betting to win, place or show were lost in less than 3 minutes!Bookies rejoiced from coast to coast!!:hanging:

NBA saving Vegas Runner right now!

He'll probably unload on both the side & total(one will be a 3 star & the other will be a 5 star)to try & bail out his new followers before the bookies try to collect for the MLB burials he's delivered this week!

Some dude got on the forum earlier stating that if he threw Big Brown out & played the other 8 horses every which way but loose in a tri that his odds were 1 of 360. I know I retired as a mathematician 5 yrs. ago but don't think my brain is mush yet. My calculations taking 1,2,3 all ways in a tri come out to 2688 to 1. Can anybody out there verify that? Just wonder if he is very misinformed or my skills have diminished? RDS

to figure it out take the number of horses in the field and multiply it by the next two lower numbers...today = 9 horse field = 9 x 8 x 7 = 504 (336 if you throw out Big Brown)

It was just over 336 plays for a $1 tri-fecta to box every horse except Big Brown. $2 paid a little over $3300 I think so the bet paid about 4.5 to 1 (1700 for $1 ticket/$336 risked). It worked out great for him, but to take 4 to 1 that BB wouldn't even hit the board isn't great odds to me. I think you could have taken the field for 3.25 to 1 just to win. Also, the tri-fecta payout was really big due to the long shot winning. If Dennis of Cork won then the tri wouldn't have even paid back the $360 or so dollars wagered to fill the board.

Actually throwing out Big Brown made an eight horse field, your math is slightly right: with the 2 on top it is 8X7X6=336, however with the 3 on top you have another 8X7X6, with the 4 on top same thing through 2,3,4,6,7,8,9,10. So with each of the eight horses on top it is 336-1 X each of the horses you put on top which is eight if you take them all. 336X8=2688 Don't mean to burst your bubble but I do have a masters in math, go to an otb parlor & try betting every availabe combo in an eight horse race & let them tell you how much that would be. I looked at the bet at bodog, but never placed the ticket. It was 336 for every horse minus BB boxed on the tri. Check your calculations again cause I checked the bet to see how much it would have cost, but didn't pull the trigger. Kinda felt sick when BB pulled up and finished last, but that's the way it goes.
