This writeup was done before last night's game was finalized.
Minnesota has been red hot. They have won nine straight baseball games and have outscored the opposition by a 56-19 margin. WOW! Now Milwaukee has a solid pitcher in Manny Parra ready for tonight, and he has won his last five starts, but folks, only one was on the road and in that outing, he allowed 5 runs and 10 hits in just 5 1/3 innings of work. In fact, in his six road starts this season, he is just 2-2 and his ERA has climbed to 7.25. Minnesota counters with Livian Hernandez and this guy has been absolutely dominant at home this season. He is 8-4 on the year and owns a 5.23 ERA, but at home, he is a perfect 6-0, the team has won eight of his nine home starts and his ERA has dropped to 3.86. Unbelievable. In fact, in his last two home starts, all versus NL opposition, he allowed just two runs in 14 innings of work. Minnesota is the play folks

Lincecum is unbeaten on the road, Duchscherer is unbeaten at home. Both have ERA's of 2.55 or better and Duchscherer has not allowed more than a single earned run in any of his last three starts. Eleven of the last 14 meetings between the teams have stayed Under.

(# 7) REMARKABLE REMY - This filly has been on the turf since day one of her career. Stakes winner at two had traffic woes in her seasonal debut at Aqueduct, then handily disposed of an optional/$30,000 field in a mile race on this course. Draws a good post to stalk from and can cause a bit of a mild upset.
(# 1) I Lost My Choo - Chased all the way in her last to no avail to an easy wire-to-wire winner in the "Sands Point" Stakes on May 31. Steady in her performances, she has worked sharply since and is a major threat.
(# 5) Blitzen Too - Lightly-raced and undefeated on the turf (2-for-2). This daughter of "Thunder Gulch" won her seasonal and three-year-old debut going nine furlongs on this course on May 23. Shortens up to a mile and gets a class test today.
(# 8) Canadian Ballet - Stakes winner on the dirt at two went wire-to-wire in her grass debut on May 22 going six furlongs. Race was impressive and her type of speed can never be dismissed. Draws a great post for the distance and she'll have to be caught.

However Byrd has pitched very well in 6 home starts posting a 2.97 ERA, a 1.10 WHIP and a 6:1 strikeout to walk ratio. In 3 starts versus the Reds since 2008 Byrd has posted an outstanding 1.29 ERA. Contrarily the Reds starter Jonny Cueto has had his problems on the road going 1-6 in his team starts while posting a lofty 6.49 ERA, a 1.62 WHIP, and allowed 7 home runs in just 34.2 innings pitched. The Reds are a dismal 14-29 on the road this season and 8-27 in their last 35 overall versus a team with a win percentage of less than .500. Play on the Cleveland Indians as my 15* Top Play of the Day.
