The Sonics return back home to the Key Arena after what can be considered a very disappointing 4-game road trip which saw them go 1-3 SU. Fatigue clearly seemed to factor into their play down the stretch, but they've now had a solid 2 days of rest for tonight's divisional battle vs. the Warriors. Golden State looked to be well on their way to their first road win in quite some time last night, but they fizzled late and lost by 4 to the Clip Joint. Now they have to head North to take on a rested Sonic team they beat at home by 3 twelve days ago. That doesn't bode well for this outfit, and the simple fact that they were running on fumes late last night spells disaster. Seattle will be out for blood tonight, as they dropped below .500 on their road trip. They've dropped the L/3 games vs. the Warriors SU, and this is by far their best shot to snap that streak. This will be Golden State's 3rd game in 4 days, and I really foresee their defense laboring big time tonight. The Sonics are only 16-15 ATS in this situation this year, but they're a solid 5-0 ATS at home vs. divisional opponents. Seattle will out run and gun the Warriors tonight, and I foresee them rolling to a very comfortable double-digit victory.

I don't get this line whatsoever! I just can't fathom the reason why the Phoenix are grabbing points to one of the more horrendous teams in the Horizon League. I'm well aware of Loyola's recent history vs. WIGB (5-0 SU & ATS L/5), but this is a much different squad than in the past. WIGB is 5-1 in conference, and looking to keep pace with WI-MIL after losing their first home game of the season to them on Saturday. The Phoenix have the advantage in just about every statistical category, except for rebounding. Their defense is leaps and bounds better than the Ramblers, & they shoot better from behind the arc and the FT line. Loyola has allowed its opponents to connect on over 50% of their shots on their own court. That's terrible, and that's not going to get it done vs. a WIGB that has the ability of shooting lights out. WIGB is only giving up 59 PPG over their L/5 games, while Loyola is giving up 88 PPG over their L/5. WIGB is 5-1 in the conference to LOY's 2-4 mark. LOY is 1-7 ATS over their L/9. Since 1997, WIGB is 7-1 ATS as a Road Dog of 3 points or less, that includes 2-0 this year. WIGB is the much better team, and I'll congratulate the Ramblers if they find a way to win this game SU. I just don't see it happening.
2* SANTA CLARA (+9) VS. ST MARY'S ACTION 10:00 EST
This is way too many points for the Gaels of St. Mary's to be laying in this spot. Santa Clara is tied for first place in the WCC with Gonzaga, and they won't take this spread lightly. They swept the season series a year ago, but got blasted by the Gaels in the conference tourney. These teams match-up just about evenly statistically, but the Broncos have the edge on defense. The L/6 meeting have been decided by an average of 5.5 PPG. This one stays close again.
