Here we go again. For the 3rd day in a row a Dog that will win straight up stands out. Where this line of -4 Wake is coming, I don't know. All Virginia has done is win 11 straight at Wake Forest and 20 of 21 in the series. In fact, the last time Wake beat Virginia, Al Groh was the coach for the Deacons. And the way the Cavs are playing the last 5 weeks, I see Virginia not only covering but winning straight up!
The Cavaliers started slow but over the last 6 weeks this is the team no one in the nation wants to play. They have the most difficult schedule in College Football and they are coming off wins in their last 2 games against ranked opponents. Last week they lost in OT, the only way this team goes down to defeat. Similar opponents, Virginia pasted Maryland 31-0, the same Terps team the pounded Wake 26-0. That was over a 2 week stretch as well. Virginia has been doing it with a vastly improved offence and defence. Sacks are the telling tale her. They are #1 in the ACC in sacks allowed and second in sacks. They have also created 20 turnovers to keep this team in the hunt for a Bowl Bid. They get that with a win today.
With Virginia winning 11 straight at Wake, the last 3 Wake wins in this series by a combined 11 points, and the last 4 in the series all decided by 4 or less, this game has Virginia written all over it!
