The funny thing was they didn't want all of that action on the Wings. They had to keep moving the line because everyone was hammering Detroit.

When the line opened it was -160 Detroit. What that line said to me was that Detroit should be a semi-strong favorite at home but it isn't a lock by any means. The bookmakers knew Pittsburgh had a chance to win as an underdog.

Basically, Vegas lucked into the public believing they had a lock.

Yeah, about 35 minutes south of downtown. If the Pirates make 0.500, I'll be pleasantly surprised.

16 straight losing seasons & you trade your best player who's 27 years old & under contract for 4 years. what kind of message does that send? larouche will be gone by the deadline too because he spoke out about it. sanchez & wilson would be gone to if they could get anything for them. wonder if huntington actually believe's the crap he's spewing for ownership's benefit?

Thats a beautiful park. I was there in 2001. Shortly after it was built. I remember being really impressed by it. Than shortly after words, Comerica park in Detroit was built. It's almost a replica of PNC Park. We rode that incline there by where the 3 rivers meet. I think they were building the new football stadium at that time as well. The reason I remember it was 2001 was I was off of work for a short time back then and one of my brothers asked me to do some traveling with him for work. We did some shows in Pittsburgh and NJ. I remember looking across the river into NY and still seeing the World Trade Center smoldering about a week after Sept.11th. Man that sure doesn't seem like 8 years ago. Time flies when your getting old.
