Well not a lot of money to be made backing a mediocre pitcher against a solid one, that is why the extra value still may not have made you money.
I made the line -128 because I truly think the Sox have all the edges. I think their lineup is superior from 1 to 9 and I think their pen is in far better form. As much as I respect Roger, Pedro is the better pitcher because even if he doesn't have his best stuff he still can be very tough to beat. I think it was McCarver that said it, has there ever been a pitcher in history that has FOUR "out" pitches? Roger has two. Its hard to say who is the better pitcher or team in a one-game take all situation, but I think the advantages go to Boston. I don't have a particular bias, I am not a fan of either team. I think most people are posting based on their biases, I just state it the way I see it and that is Boston is the better team and as long as they have Pedro pitching they deserve to be at least a decent favorite. I think -128 might be low, but its me respecting the Yankees experience and clutch play, especially Roger's. All that though can't be considered to be more important though than better bats and a better pitcher, live in the moment, not in the all the championships or recent history of the Yanks, I am just paying attention to the teams that will be on the field tomorrow night.
