LA Clippers +10 3 units
Clips are gonna surprise a lot of people this year and I look for them to make a small statement tonight by playing tough with the favorites to win the Title. Pair this with the Lakers playing what looked like an exhibition game last night and I like the Clips here in this spot. Everyone was all over the Blazers last night because of the team they have on paper but you have to realize that Portland is filled with 20 year olds and they opened up their season with the Lakers!! Do you know how nervous they were last night? Won't be the case for the Clippers. They have veterans all over the floor. They now have a legitimate superstar and one of the NBA's best defenders as well. I look for this game to be decided later in the 4th quarter than most people think

serious, really like your pick, seeing the public moving this towards 10.5 and possibly 11 by gametime is good to see...what do you think about Memphis getting 11.5 at Houston? I like Memphis in this spot, prob. not going to win but I believe athleticism will force Yao to run back and forth and make him not as big a factor, also think McGrady is still not 100% healthy (when is he ever?) I see this being a 9pt Houston victory...good luck tonight

Just think this total is ridiculously high for IMO the best defense in the NBA playing against the most inexperienced and unproven offense. Memphis will be lucky to get 80 in this game. Memphis is a team who relies very heavily on the three pointer and Houston is a team that plays excellent perimeter defense and something tells me the addition of Artest is only going to make this perimeter defense that much better. Houston poses match-up problems all over the floor for Memphis and even if Houston scores 100 I still see this game going way under. Again I could be wrong....I'm going strictly on how much Memphis relies on the 3 and this being the opening game on another teams baskets. They shouldn't come out shooting much better than 30% from behind the arc. If they come out hot this is a loser. Don't see it happening though

Sorry, I disagree here. Clips have been smashed by an average of 20 points, in every encounter against the Lakers last year, and the Lakers weren't even trying.
Don't get me wrong. The Clippers are my favorite team, so it would be awesome to see them give the Big Four some challenge, but I see the Lakers winning easy by 20 points.
