Gonna start here with New York +3.5 for 2 units

The fact fact that San Antonio is 0-3 SU at home this year and 0-5 ATS has little to do with this pick. There are just so many injury problems in San Antonio right now and their age is starting to show up. You knew it was eventually going to happen. With old age comes poor defense and laziness. San Antonio is allowing 100+ points a game this year and it is not going to get any better tonight when the Knicks come to town. NY is riding a 3 game winning streak and is indeed averaging over 100+points a game with D'Antoni in command. The most important player on the floor for every team whether he is your star or not, is your point-guard. A struggling San Antonio team was in a world of shit before they lost Parker and now they have to go a whole month without their PG. This could spell doom for San Antonio. No Parker, No Ginobli=No way this team makes the playoffs in the West. I like Tim Duncan but he wouldn't be posting half the numbers he is posting in his career without the help of TP and Ginobli. Everyone is going to look for him to step up and save this team , but I just don't see that happening without the help of his buddies. NY will come out running and gunning as usual and I just don't see SA keeping up with the pace. With Parker and Ginobli out the only way SA is going to win is going to be to slow things way down and when was the last time you saw D'antoni let a team "slow" it down on him??? Won't happen...Knicks should win this game out right but I will gladly take the 3.5 points...

Have other leans but will wait for the rest of the games to be lined before I make any jumps

Gonna make a small play on Philly -4.5 for 1 unit

Gonna take advantage of the spot this game is being played in. Philly will be coming off two thrashings and Utah has finally come back to earth after being handed their first loss...Advantage Philly. Utah has been great without their star PG but please take a look at who they have been great against and more importantly WHERE they have been great. Utah proved last year that Salt Lake City is the hardest place in the NBA to play but also proved that they can't get it done on the road. To start the year they beat up on the Clips x2, Anthonyless Nuggets, Portland, OKC (three of which were home games). I liked Philly last year in this spot and now with Brand I like them even more. A great rebounding team, at home, laying a small number. Will take it all day. Look for Philly to hand Utah loss number two.

Only other game I currently looking at is Denver...Charlotte 3-7 L10 at home...Denver currently outrebounding Char by DD...Last 3 these guys played all soared over 200 (this obviously favors den)...still have a few things to look at before I make a play on it

Looks like more action on the Spurs and Jazz from what I see on Covers.

Make sure you check if Kenyon Martin is playing. If not then that changes things considerably IMO.

nothin on the ATL game? the two are pretty even overall, except ATL's defense has been stingy allowing 85.8 pts/game.
looking at home/road; CHI is really controlling the boards, only allowing 36 to their 44, but ATL is avg. 47 on the road so it should even out a little. ATL is allowing even less on the road at 83 pts/gm (39% fg), take into consideration none of those games were vs higher than 12th in scoring, but CHI is 22nd overall in scoring.

Milwuakee papers and covers.com saying doubtful...don't know if I want to pull the trigger yet..I still see value in 11.5 even without Redd

In the 3 games Redd was out, Bucks lost to 2 powerhouses BOS and PHO losing by 12 to BOS at the garden and by 8 to PHO at home scoring 96 pts. They won against WAS at home scoring 112 pts..

Watching them against the Suns without Redd they didn't seem like a team playing with a missing star. I think 11.5 is too much credit to LeBron and whoever else plays for that team. Lost by 12 away to BOS, whose defense is far better than Clevelands.
