One day to rest, Wed night is Game 1. I agree its hard to back the Sox, but lets face it the Yanks aren't that much better if everything was equal. Sox looking up because Burkett came up with a nice game and Wakefield is an innings eater. Interesting strategy, Sox hope Lowe can go game 1, with Pedro ready to go 3 and 7. When it comes down to it there are still 2 starts for Pedro and Lowe should get at least one start at home if he goes Game 1. Its hard to back a team you think is tired, but I think getting Ramirez and Ortiz big hits to win games could be a sign of better things to come, I mean how did they win this series with virtually no contribution from their big guns?

Someone told me that along with the Cubs, some books have a bit of a liability on the Sox, but nothing close to as disatrous. Lets put it this way, the books are going to shade as much as they can get away because no doubt from their perspective Yankees winning the WS is the big moneymaker. They win tons in the future book only having to pay out lots of 2/1 tickets and as much as the Sox are a sentimental choice, the Yanks will drive a lot more action and get far higher ratings.

Imagine the Yanks and Cubs, imagine the ratings bonanza on that. If it went 7 games Fox would finally make some money off of the sport for a change.

I guess my predicted line will come pretty close... It should open in the morning at most shops with NYY -165/+145 (approx).. I was shocked to have seen a lot of you predicting this series would be ranging from -200 to -225...Boston deserves a lot of respect...
