In principal, Stanford should cruise to a victory. However, this timezone issue will probably scare me away.
Man I'd love to see them win. I just don't know that they are ready to take their show on the road yet. (WSU trip doesn't count the same way.) I definitely lean your way.
But what about Andrew Luck in his first ever big road game? National TV... yadda yadda. Yikes! But I hope it hits. Really. The Cardinal looks REAL good other than the situation they face in a couple of tough ways.
My gut agrees with you, FWIW. I might change my mind if I see what's up with Wake's DL and their secondary. Stanford football has a new look. They really play a straight ahead smashmouth game. But they also need a little finesse to keep some team with a good rushing defense from shutting them down. Don't know if Wake is that team. Stanford could really score some prestige points for the conference if they pull it off.
ML might be a little sweeter because 2 points is a toss up. Skip the juice, get a little better payout.

Oh well, 17 returning starters (including 9 on offense) is usually a good early season play against a young defense with only 4 returning starters. And if its true that Stanford is flying out Wednesday the early start time shouldn't be that big of an issue.

On stanford here as well, as I think they are (arguably) the 3rd best team in the Pac.....I had this game capped with Stanford as a 6 point favorite, so I was surprised to see the line -- although I really don't think I put enough emphasis on the long road trip/early start time factor -- still, Stanford should be a short fav imo.
My big, big concern here is that Stanford's defense needs to tighten up...WSU showed some ability to move it on Stanford's D....but in their defense, WSU is underrated offensively....
Also taking a bite at WSU +2, UW -20 and LSU -14.....believe it or not, Tulane on my radar if the line can get to 20 by kick....
