Security measures for Neteller withdrawals?

When withdrawing from some books, they require an ID sent before processing the payout. My complaint is why do you need to send an ID if you deposit via Neteller and withdraw via Neteller? I mean if fraud was involved, then it would take some effort from the thief. This person would have to get my Neteller account info, send the funds to the book, & then request the money back into my Neteller account, and somehow get this money into his/her pocket. It seems to me that Neteller has all the measures in place to prevent this already. It seems like a wasted measure for me to have and send an ID at this point. I think if a book requires this, then they should require an ID when I deposit, not after I win.

What are your opinions?

Thanks

I think its WRONG that a book wants ID for NETELLER only withdrawals as it can only go back the exact way it came into them from neteller...

neteller verifies it is you when you sign up and reg. your email and all that ..most have checking acts connected to neteller that also makes sure you are who you say you are..

.NO ID should be needed by anybook for just a neteller WD "IF" you deposited that way

I agree the ID should be required prior to post up but that would have to be an industry move because if Book A wants ID before a deposit and Book B doesn't ask until a w/d (or at all) most people will post up with B because of convenience.

I would guess there are many that don't ever ask this question before depositing with a book.

Pinny'll let you deposit w/o it, but tells you to supply it if you wish to withdraw..

I agree @ Neteller not needing ID again....maybe it's because Neteller won't guarantee the actual person like a credit card will. For instance, if i use Fish's credit card at a restaurant-- as long as the rest gets an approval code, the CC bank can never come back to the rest & take its money back because of fraud.

Don't know how all can't do like eHorse / las Palmas: open a separate merchant account & process the cards through there-- unless if they're so worried about fraud, or the transact fees are usurious...

More I think on this, if a person was able to access all of my neteller info, send money, and then ask for money back, then they should have no trouble getting my ID to fax as well.

Several people in another post yesterday stated that Pinny did NOT require them to fax an ID. (Personally, I don't know because I haven't won there to cash; but IF they do ask me to fax after depositing via Neteller--I'll close my account there.)

I completely agree with the General. Makes no sense to to require ID.

IMO it's just a cheap tactic used by sh*ttier books to improve cash flow.

I agree 100%!! I will not play with any books that require ID. I signed up with Mansion to give it a try and they asked for ID before I could withdraw anything. I eventually got around it and got my money without ID, but it was not easy.

Glad to see I am not alone in my thoughts here. I vote on calling it poppycock. We have to follow rules I understand, but the books who impose this procedure should take note that it is a strike against the Customer Service goals.
