Don't bet KC under. Starting pitching is still questionable after Greinke and Meche, but they really upgraded the offense and bullpen.

Buffetgambler has a great write-up a few pages back on betting the Giants under 80.5.

I've read all over the place about how the Royals will be this year's Tampa Bay Rays. Well, I'm not buying it. For them to get over .500 everything is going to have to break their way. One injury and they're done. I think they finish last in the central this year. Again.

As for the Giants, we're looking at one of the better pitching rotations (at least 1-4) that we've seen anywhere in a while. I'd look at taking the Dodgers under rather the Giants in the NL West for two reasons: NO pitching (and I mean NO pitching) and Manny Ramirez. I get plenty of satisfaction from watching the Dodgers lose games anyway so I don't need to bet on it. But perhaps I should.

Kershaw....Kuroda.....Billingsley ......Wolf.....will not make you smile this year....that is decent pitching, not no pitching....on the other hand how are the Giants going to score any runs this year??? The kid Sandoval looks good but he's gonna hurt you on the field....I loved Richie Aurilia but he should be retired....really you guys have no hitting....good pitching I give you that

That aside, Billingsley I'll give you though let's see if he holds up for the 200+ innings he'll be expected to throw this year (here’s hoping to a rotator cuff tear, or something, by mid-July). Wolf is going to be fourth in your rotation so he can't be all that and he's going to be injured at some point this year--he's averaged fewer than 115 innings in each of the last five years. And if the proposed closer, Broxton, is so great, why did the Dodgers go after Trevor Hoffman? Speaking of pitching, how's Jason Schmidt working out for ya? Kershaw is going to be 21 and do you know how many pitchers that age managed even 150 innings last year? hint: it's the same number of National League Pennants that the Dodgers have won in the last 20 years.

As for the Giants, well Timmuh wins the Cy Young again, The Unit loves being home so much he manages to pitch in 30 games and win more than half of them, Matt Cain remembers that he was supposed to be as good as Timmy as comes in second in K's (behind Timmuh), Noah Lowry recovers fully and reminds us all of Kirk "Woody" "82 MPH fastball" Reuter when he was the winningest active left hander in the bigs, Pablo Sanodval hits .320 and hits more taters than he commits errors, Travis Ishikawa manages to channel JT SNow and Will Clark at the same time for the whole season, Buster Posey becomes the full time catcher in May and then runs away with rookie of the year and MVP when Bengie Molina strains a hamstring rubbing Ben Gay on his other hamstring, Edgar Renteria plays like the Edgar Renteria who's played on like every World Series Team in the last twenty six years, and Kevin Frandsen and/or Manny Burris make us permanently and forever forget about Jeff “I actually choose to live in Texas” Kent and his most powerful mustache. Finally, Aaron Rowand wins the Gold Glove in Center and hits 20 HRs, Fred Lewis breaks out as a five tool player, and Randy Winn leads the NL in average.

I concur & took them both, Jim. Got HOU @ 73 & TOR @ 79.
Added LAD O 84.5 -115 & some 85 -110. Also COLO U 77.5 -115.

Just read this. If the Tigers aren't well poised for a playoff spot by the break looks like they'll call it early.

"The Detroit Free-Press reported that the Tigers' season-ticket sales have plummeted from 27,000 to roughly 15,000 — and combined with a $125 million payroll that ranks as one of the highest in the majors, many observers are predicting a midsummer fire sale."

BOL Hitman, I like your Colorado under bet, I looked at that as well and may end up put some coin on it.

As for Detroit, Bodog has a prop on which manager will get fired first in 2009. Leyland is leading the pack at 2 to 1.

I think it's gonna be feast or famine with the Tigers. If the pitchers can rebound they'll be tough to beat.
