There you go!

They also have a running game with possibly the best O-line in the game.
Lawrence Maroney will have a better year and be a better running back than Reggie Bush....Mark it down....he had 86 yards on 18 carries yesterday.

Deion Branch NEVER had more than 80 catches and NEVER had 1,000 yards and NEVER went to the Pro Bowl.

Yet, for that they got a 1st round pick for him.

Stallworth and Branch had similar numbers last year. A backup linebacker for one, a 1st rounder for the other, yet the experts will say the Patriots got screwed.

How desparate was Seattle to give up $39 million AND a draft pick???? It's not like you can't get a good receiver for $30 million in free-agency yet they give up a draft pick too? DUMB

True, but he was Super Bowl MVP. And, by the numbers, he was on his way up, while Stallworth was (seemingly) on his way down. At the end of the day, this is what Seattle thinks he's worth. It's all about the market, even if there's a sucker willing to overpay.

Just glad he's gone so I can use Gabriel as trade-bait.

Pat: got him in the 20th round of a 14-team league. At the time, he was still a Raider, and I picked him on the offchance Porter got the boot. Great value pick, all things considered.

Thank you.

Branch was also SB MVP....probably never happen again. The Pats got the best of Branch and Seattle still got a good reciever.
Pats also saved 40 mill. under the cap to pick up guys like Rodney Harrison,Mike Vrabels of the world....and will have two #1 picks next year...think about that...a playoff team with two #1 picks.

Branch jersey was not a big seller....However, it is now worthless...

Really nice looking Pats Jersey though....The Pats jersey is the best looking jersey of them all...The white road jersey, then the bengals orange looks really good.

Remember the it was the end of the world when they got rid of Lawyor Milloy a week before the season started a few years ago and they promptly lossed to the Bills 31-0...they went 17-1 after that and a chmpionship.
There is not one player that I can think of that went on to higher accomplishments AFTER they left the Pats...There are however dozens who went on to greatness after they came to the Pats.
Pats make players....Players do NOT make the Pats.
Thats what people and the national media misses with this team year after year.

how frustrated will David Givens be now that he fully experienced how awful Collins and Vince Young are?

guys that get championships early in their careers usually want cash and will go to any team to get it. guys that have the cash but not the rings will take a discount to play with a contender. thats just how it works in sports.
