As a Seattle resident I have definitely noticed as more and more in here have been picking the M's recently after fading them for months. They have been playing better, but I'm not convinced they are a good team. Silva has pitched better recently but if you have watched him you know that any given day he can get shelled -- the Oakland Coliseum has historically been a house of horrors for Seattle and, while the M's have hit Duscherer well in the past he seems to be a different pitcher this year (6 wins in his last 8 starts with an 1.54 ERA) -- they beat him earlier this year but that was his first start off the DL...i see this game as a toss up - if you bet them, pray for clutch hitting (M's will have chances but seem to lead the league in rally killing double plays) and be prepared for short fingernails in the morning...the good news is Washburn ate up innings last night and the M's bullpen should be in decent shape (no more pitching catchers hehe)...good luck =)
thanx crazykind you said it best game appears to be a toss up and with SEA +185 i will take my chances Silva 4-2 2.92 ERA vrs OAK Duchscherer 0-5 4.17 ERA vrs SEA yes he has been pitching much better this year as you said but i just dont see a reason not to take a shot with the M's tonight
ty best of luck to you also betting4fun im also thinking about ATL -1.5 +180 as i posted in the ATL ML thread they have the worst record in baseball in 1 run games so if they are going to win would suggest they win by 2+runs i did this during interleague play when they were playing LAA and it paid off might test it again anyone have any thoughts on that game?
