Washington (CNN)The House isn't planning to take up what the Senate might pass on immigration, the House Republican whip said Monday, setting a potential showdown between the two chambers on the issue.
House Republican Whip Steve Scalise told reporters Monday afternoon that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's pledge on the Senate floor to turn to immigration in February -- a key part of ending the government shutdown -- held little weight on the House side.

Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) has reportedly withdrawn an offer he previously made regarding funding for President Trump's border wall.
Schumer told the White House through an aide that he was withdrawing the offer to give more than $1.6 billion in funding for Trump's proposed border wall.
Well if that's the case then I think McConnell should withdraw his pledge to revisit DACA. Seems only fair don't you think?

Well it looks like Trump just made McConnell's job easier.
