Who do you suggest is going to pay for this kind of change? The schools don't have money.

metal detectors and police are really all i think it requires. i would suspect that is a less expensive option than giving a teacher a gun and doing all the training required. just a thought, this problem wont go away without spending money somewhere. i think this option is cheaper than others presented

It's still very expensive. I'm not opposed to it at all but someone has to pay the price.

of course. i think that 2 things are certain. we arent gonna strip people of their guns and we arent gonna actually address the mental health issue and if we do it wont be quick enough. so for the here and now thats all i can think can work

i think it has to start at the elementary schools first. obviously the children are younger and i think that they can meet and respect law enforcement. they can realize they are there to help and protect. respect for law enforcement seems to be another issue that needs to be addressed.

This may very well be a good idea, but many school districts don't want to use metal detectors because it makes it seem like you're in a prison or something.

I don't think we need metal detectors at elementary schools.

I never said we need Sheriff's at every school

Are you retarded?

What are you suggesting then? Arm every assistant principal?

I had a principal who was a former drill sargent.....I always thought who the fuck is hiring a former drill sargent for some 8th graders in one of the richest counties in the country. But now seems like it's a war in school lol they were thinking ahead of their time bahahha.

I was in his office talking to him because i kicked a ball in the air...it came back down and hit some kid...I got in trouble. Crazy drill sargent princpal tells me if he shot a gun out the window and somebody just happens to walk by....who's at fault?

That's the analogy this fool gave me in 8th grade. This fucking shit head was ready for a school shooting I tell u that. His dumb ass should have been in the city dealing with kids who really need that drill sargent mindset.

High school....had a principal who right after high school i would see pounding booze and gambling up at MD Live casino. This is the school that had 4 teachers touching kids or selling crystal meth and hard drugs. All faced hard jail time. My stories in school do not end. I haven't even scratched the surface

You can catch me on Ratemyprofessors.com talking shit about some terrible teachers. There were more than 4 and a couple of them did not get caught, but still geek out with my friends about how corrupt they were.

And lets arm these fucking psychos. The good teachers that I had caught shit because they would veer off from the curriculum and someone would bitch about not enough assignments to get points and shit. Even though the teacher would actually teach. Not just put up an overhead and let some little girl sit on his lap( yes this happened)

I'm saying arm the students!

I'm merely saying that you can't dismiss the premise of arming the teachers out of hand. Yes, you are correct in that there are some shaky teachers that we don't want holding a firearm in a school. At the same time, Ohio, Utah, Texas, Colorado all have teachers that can bring a handgun to school and secure it. I'm not aware of any school shootings in those school districts. In Ohio, they attend training every month on safety and active shooter scenarios. It should be up to the school district is all I'm suggesting.

And no, I wouldn't say we can put police in every school. That would be very expensive.

I don't trust the board of education. Plain and fucking simple. Therefore I don't agree with arming anyone unless you are a real cop. Because WHO they put in schools to teach your kids I don't trust, which means I don't trust the people who put them there. Just facts. And this was "the #1 school" in a top 5school district in the country. Facts.

Other schools in my county called us the rich kid school. Cuz the parents in this area are all doctors and shit. Which means they donate, which means new fresh jerseys all the time and shit like that

hope we dont need them either but cant be too careful with the people in this world today. to have less protection for our youngest children makes it easier for the wackos
