No, if you are a good capper you will make far more capping then scalping. The only difference is capping is considered on paper a risk while scalping is locking in profits but with the state of the offshore world & trust not being at an all time high if it ever was scalping is just as risky as capping.
As far as what it takes to be a good capper, there is only a generic answer & that is to study & learn but how we all go about it is totally different which is why there is no capping manual to follow.
Some of us can just look at a line only & know who to bet while some feel the need to look over stats 8+ hours a day or a combination of these things & others.
Personally I use a combination of alot of things including watching as many games as you can live or on tape, reading articles, watching press conferences, pre/post game shows, stats, opinions of capppers I respect etc.....
Some are of the idea that you should only stick to a select few sports & handicap those exclusively as it isn't possible to win at many sports. I tend to disagree with that personally as I've done so successfully although it was not easy by any stretch & some sports I feel better on then others. I can see why alot feel the way they do as far as that goes though.
I can't speak for others but I do keep a log of all my bets. I feel I must so I can see where I am strong & weak at as far as teams go, types of wagers, etc.....
As far as
www.zoccer.com is concerned, I've never heard of the site so I can't offer an opinion on it.
The problems with scalping as mentioned above & echoed by others in the past can add up. We have the issue of clone books which I brought up in the last post which then leads to scalping at books you might have never heard of or are even sure you can trust.
A major problem I worry about as sure as others do is what if a book decides to stiff me or comes up with the bad line excuse. The bad line excuse can sit here & side you like a mother****er & you will be eating some dough anyway you slice it.
I can & have made a few thousand a month scalping but it takes some work especially when having to get around book limits as that is another problem a scalper faces. Some books have such low limits it isn't even worth scalping unless you know you can get it through multiple accounts with friends etc... Some have their limits cut because of winning too much so you have that issue as well & don't get me started on books that deal 2 lines.
Honestly I know I can make more money capping straight up which is why I would never just stop capping for good & only scalp. I will either do both or just capping only.
Most sportsbettors are on the losing side so you have that one pegged pretty well.
I suggest you check out the Rubber Room's "TFZ" thread which is started everyday by Raiders. A # of cappers including myself put plays in there as far as what we like best for the day etc... You can make some good coin with it.
I personally feel non major sports like tennis, soccer, golf, etc are easier to make money on as lines aren't as sharp since realistically most gamblers focus on the big sports.
The RX has some sharp cappers in sports like tennis, golf, soccer etc.. Check out the soccer forum, it is chalk filled with cappers who know what they are doing, we have SeaUrchin doing very well with golf etc.....
