Scalping not hard - in fact, it's effortless ... with the right tools.

scalping is work, peorid. I didn't say it was hard, I meant if you want it to be profitable and worth your time.

Whilst in principle true, software has a habit of only manifesting bugs at the most inoppertune time... and sometimes it's not even a coding error.

True enough. Any program would require a fail-safe design, where unexpected results lead to a missed opportunity rather than an incorrect play. You picked up on the other part as well - you'll need to know how various sites respond as things "change". Some are more likely to pull the rug out from under you, other more forgiving. These characteristics would be written into the program.

Finding the scalp was as much a rush as finding a good number.

I feel exactly the same way. Just gets the blood pumping. And you always have to be quick because scalps usually disappear pretty qucikly these days.

Ice,

If you put up an offer of SD -123 and it was accepted, dosen't that give you a position on the giants at +123 ? I've never made any offers on there, and maybe it was worded wrong, or Im reading wrong.

let me see if I can explain this properly. San Diego's price on there was -128 or so and SF was +120 (not exactly sure of details but this is good for example).

I adjusted San Diego price to bet to -123 (with commision I was paying close to -124 if bet is accepted) instead of the -128 that was offered and it shows up on screen as SF being offered at +123 (jumping up for players from a +120). It was accepted and bingo my bet is in.

I do the same thing you do with making your bet a better price because of the poetential scalp and I too beleive that greatly improves your bottim line with bases. (Not quite betting 5k but more like $500 for me:103631605 )

Working 5 hours a day, 30 days a month for $1500 is only $10/hr. I can do other part-time jobs for much more.

If you can get it down to a couple hours per day and more money then you would be talking.

Can you do those part time jobs lounging around the house, spending time with family and loved ones, taking a day off or a holiday/vacation "just because" etc..

No. And that's the beauty of making $10/hr. in your underwear. But making $18,000/year in my underwear isn't my idea of a good life either.

I have an idea from reading your posts that you make much more than that doing things other than scalping/middling. Some day I want to be just like you.
