Ball is allowed to touch the ground as long as the player has control of it. He did, it was a catch.Video won't play on here.

CBS pulled in house referee, Mike Carey after he called the play a catch. That was his one and only appearance on Sunday. Not sure if it was a CBS call or NFL call but they didn't like the fact that he called the replay different than the on field referee, Clete Blakeman.
Basically they've made the rule too complicated for even themselves...

I don't see him having control of the ball, otherwise the ball wouldn't be on his hip, after the tip hit the ground
