The NCAA basically wants seating of 20,000+ now for Sweet 16 and up games. Las Vegas is a horrible market, all transient population. I would imagine the LV market would be all Phoenix and Laker fans. The Metrodome works because they can sell 40,000 tix.

i dont like the ncaa moving these basketball games to football arenas.

i can smell a final 4 at the damn taj mahal in dallas coming down the line and i dont want it, i want an arena.

lol yea i saw that same thing.

i know the money is in these stadiums, but basketball is meant to be played in a closely confined space with the crowd nearer to the court, at least thats how i think.

least put em in some nba arenas. staples, conseco fieldhouse, msg cream of the crop imo.

Last year's game was a very tough ticket in Detroit with Mich St playing. They could have sold 100,000 tickets. NCAA doesn't care about the quality of play, only the paying public.
