Exactly what I was thinking as well... If Doug wants this done that's the route we can go
This is an old issue ... going back around the Summer.
We tried a Whole lot.... a lot of tricks to see if we can work around it. Even went to VBulletin techs
Normally we would be able to switch the names... just like when someone wants a Name change... Change the Doug into Doug. just to change it back again. Think we even made him an Administrator for a few minutes to see if it can start Threads.
I even has access to the account, to see what he's seeing... still Nothing.
and of course we can change his post count, to equal the combo of both.... But that won't save his Posts... like already said, it will come out as "Guest"

There is a very simple solution to fix the problem that would require no technical know how.
Just write down dougs post count and join date on a piece of paper.
Once that is done delete the user name off the system.
Then once that is done get Doug to resign up under the name Doug.
The software will accept it because the DOUG handle no longer exist because it was deleted from the system.
After the new registration is complete with the new Doug.
Just manually input the post count and the join date to the new Doug handle and the problem will be solved.

My account name was changed about 5 years ago.

Now im CHOPTALK.
Thats what I said 6 months ago the last time Doug started a thread crying about this.
