There is NOT a team in the East that can beat the Pacers in a seven-game series if Artest and O'Neal stay healthy.

The Pacers just toyed with a Pistons team tonight that had won 13 straight games.

Indiana will represent the Eastern Conference in this season's NBA Finals!

It would be criminal if they weren't there, they have the best starting 5 in the East, plus depth, and NJ and Philly appear to be unmotivated to return to their role of sacrificial lamb, though Detroit looks interested.

Still, they are only slightly ahead or on par with the 3rd thru 7th West squads like Sacto,Minny,Hou,Dal..not at Spur/Laker level(when both are ramped-up in playoff gear).

They should be able to force a Gm6, which keeps NBC happy and in the money, and may win the ATS battle this year 4-2, while losing the series 4-2?
