Aloha Gang, well last night was a tough defeat I took as Colorado St. came up short to New Mexico. That loss leaves me entering today at -3 Units. Todays card looks good and I'm confident it will get us back in the positive, with room to spare. So lets get to it.



5 Unit Big East POM on:


Pitt +5 (added additional 3 units)(WINNER)


-Pitt waiting all year for this one and Fitzgerald will show everyone why he is the premier WR in the nation. Techs Def will be hurting today as D' Angelo wont be a factor. Tech also got their season's victory against Miami last week, now Pitts looks to capitalize on this Va Techs win, by doing the same thing to them today. Outright upset in the works here.



4 Unit Plays on:



Purdue -3(W), Texas -3 (added additional 2 units)(W)



-Purdue looking to remain on top on Big 10 and home field today helps them secure a "W". Texas will make sure that they don't get spanked by both Oklahoma Squads. Look for them to take it out on the Sooners younger brother today.



3 Unit Plays on:



NW +6(W), Navy +9(W), Utep +3(L)



-Penn St. exhausted everything they had left in last weeks game against Ohio St. The Lions tank is on fumes, leaving the door open for energetic NW squad to pull the outright upset. Navy vs. ND, only Navy interested in this one. May pull a shocker today at South Bend as they go for their seventh win, don't be surprised. San Jose St., a road favorite, I don't think so. They should try and win at home first, before they take on such a huge roll.



2 Unit Plays on:



Houston +5.5(L), Unlv -5.5(L)



-Houston Offense will keep them in this one if not lead them to and outright victory today. S Miss Def way better here, but they'll need their Off to keep up in this one. Unlv's off again, on again Offense, still has enough to get by this San Diego St squad which has no Offense at all.

Whats Up YPO,

I'm right now leaning to Cal, as they diffinately are playing solid ball. I don't feel the spread will be a factor in this one, as I see the winner of this game also winning comfortably. Right now, it appears wise not to back Oregon today, but sometimes, returning home, getting points, facing a must win situation ,for a bowl bid, is enough motivation to jump start a team whos talent has gone dormant. Another trend that I need to consider is the historical one. Oregon basically owns Cal, could this year be different, I am currently, thinking it may.

Anyway, my gut tells me its smarter to back a team thats clicking and playing confident ball at the present. And I agree that until Oregon regains its consistency especially on Off. can't back them, simply because they had it in the beginning of the year.

Well, I guess that settles it.

Well gang , what a way to close out the day with a trio of big games coming in for me w/ Pitt, Texas, and Wash St., only waiting on Cal to wrap things up for this very good day for me. I stated that I was confident in this card today and if not for the lesser plays failing to come through, this would have been a Huge day for me. Still, can't complain, because the Top Plays didn't disappoint me and that is all that matters. Lets hope this streak continues into the NFL tomorrow. GL and Aloha, CC.
