Another overcast day today so far, hopefully no rain as there are some nice turf races scheduled. 5 Selections on the card today.

Race 3

Porey Spring

Casse has done everything right with this one since taking over 2 starts ago, this one has won two straight at 62,500 and 80,000 claiming and makes the next logical step to Allowance, last two speed figs of 97 if matched again should be enough to make it 3 wins in a row.

Race 4

Knotty Behaviour

This one finished 4th in what could become a key race, the winner Puffer is destined to be a good one and the 2nd and 3rd place finishers are highly thought of. (watch list horses) With a clean trip Knotty should be flying thru the stretch looking for a big piece of the prize.

Race 6

Fifth Overture

Don't think this 2 yr old is going to get as much attention mainly because of a trainer who hasn't started many. Mrs. Mistofelees (#3) will probably take a huge amount of money after running 2nd in both starts (Mdn Sp Wt and a Stakes) to arguable the best 2 yr on the grounds right now Nashinda, But Overture has worked great for her unveiling and Jockey Clark is great with 2 yr olds, chance at an upset.

Race 7

Novantuno

This 3 yr colt makes 4th lifetime start, and 3rd off the layoff which I believe is always a very good angle. Bounced last time out at 3/5 and odds will be better today in what should be a winning effort.

Race 8

Monshine Hall

This one came up from Churchill on Queens Plate day to win a Stakes race on the turf, given that shippers usually have a hard time 1st over the turf and the great performance this one gave kicking in nicely thru the stretch I can't see why the same doesn't happen today, although it is a short field price still should be around 2-1 or 5/2.

Big R

I have been to Woodbine maybe a half dozen times this year. Usually with the old lady. I sit in the bar after you walk throgh the casino-Hoofbeats. The reason I sit there is so the missus can reload. in the wink of an eye. She has a 100 dollar limit from me and usually I will hear on the way home that she dipped into the cable bill or figures the phone company can wait another month....

Next time i go I will direct her to the poker machines. She has one of those computer poker hand helds and after a million hands I think she has basic strategy down...

Hope your roll continues this weekend--I have to go to a family birthday party

Early..

I prefer playing real cards and only played because I was bored of watching my buddy play and the only thing running upstairs was Standardbreds so I thought why not. Got luck but probably won't play again. Thanks for the words and we'll catch up some time for a beer.
