Dan Haren looks to help the A's build on a big win Saturday when they continue their three-game series with the San Francisco Giants at McAfee Coliseum. While Zito has been somewhat inconsistent with his new team, Haren (3-2, 1.64 ERA) has done plenty to help make up for his absence in Oakland. He owns the best ERA in the AL and has gone at least seven innings in six of his nine starts. Haren threw eight scoreless innings Monday, but did not receive a decision in Oakland's 2-1 loss to Kansas City. Haren is 2-3 with a 3.79 ERA in seven career appearances, including six starts, against the Giants. Matt Cain (2-3, 3.18) will take the mound for the Giants on Saturday. He allowed one run in six innings of Sunday's 15-2 win at Colorado, bouncing back after giving up 11 runs and 18 hits in 10 innings in consecutive losses. Cain, who is holding opponents to a .198 batting average, also improved to 1-1 with a 1.04 ERA on the road. Cain's two previous starts against the A's came last season. He went 1-1 with a 4.05 ERA against them, including a 6-0 one-hitter on May 21 in Oakland. Predicted score: Giants 2 A's 3
Play: under 8.0 ($150/100$)

Meche looks to continue his consecutive road scoreless innings streak and help the Royals (16-27) win four straight road games for the first time in more than three years as they continue their series against the Colorado Rockies (17-25) on Saturday at Coors Field. The right-hander is 1-0 despite not allowing an earned run in 27 innings over four road starts, in which the Royals have totaled 15 runs. Meche (3-1, 1.91 ERA) has conceded just six unearned runs, 30 hits and eight walks while striking out 21. If Meche can continue his streak -- and Kansas City can provide some offensive support -- the Royals have a chance to win four straight road games for the first time since Sept. 13-16, 2003. A win would also give the Royals their first four-game overall winning streak since July 4-7. Meche is facing Colorado for the first time, but he hopes to continue his interleague success. While Meche has failed to get a decision in his last two interleague outings, he is 5-0 with a 3.02 ERA in his last seven starts against the NL since June 14, 2005. He is 9-2 with a 3.35 ERA in his 15 lifetime appearances against the NL. Meche will oppose a pitcher in right-hander Taylor Buchholz, who is not nearly as accomplished as Haren. Buchholz (1-2, 7.52) looks to rebound after he was tagged for season highs in runs (eight), hits (12) while lasting 4 2-3 innings of Colorado's 15-2 home loss to San Francisco on Sunday. Buchholz is 0-6 with a 9.44 ERA in eight starts since July 16, four of which he made for Houston before the Rockies acquired him in an offseason trade. He won his only start against the Royals, limiting them to two runs and two hits in six innings of a 7-2 Astros' victory on June 17. Meche can handle first half of the game against this pitcher easly so take kansas 1st half and all game. Predicted score: Royals 7 Rookies 4
Play: KC Royals PK 1st HF ($220/200$)
Play: Kansas City Royals ($110/100$)
