3-Unit Play. #365. Take Clemson -12 over Texas A&M (Saturday @ 7pm est)
Wouldn't you back the Clemson squad here that has consistently done well against a Jimbo Fisher squad in the ACC? Wouldn't you back a Clemson team that has 2 QB's fighting it out for the starting job and one is has great game experience and the other a heralded freshman? Both will want to do well and run up the score here on Texas A&M of the mighty SEC? Clemson always uses an opportunity to beat up on SEC teams to prove a point that the ACC is just as good as the SEC and Dabo has fighting that thought process for a long time and he will want to prove a point here. Clemson's defense is as elite as it comes and in a primetime game as this, take the team that has been there before time and time again as Clemson kept a lot in the tank left week saving it for this game. Clemson wins and possibly wins big here.
7-Unit Play. #372. Take Florida Gators -14 over Kentucky (Saturday @ 7:30pm est)
Look, Dan Mullen is a stud. He was brilliant enough to take the Mississippi State Bulldogs to the #1 Ranking in the Country when he had Dak as his quarterback and that was in the mighty SEC West. Now, he gets more talent, more resources and a rabid fanbase willing to give him the resources to compete on a national level. Remember, he went toe to toe with Nick Saban with less talent. Now, he has more talent, substantially more talent. Last year, the Gators won by 1 points but this will be a very different game. The Gators have a strong passing attack now and a more disciplined defense and it shows in the first game. They are led by a fantastic gameplanner who is very strong in motivating his players. Kentucky's QB situation is still a bit of a mess where as the roles in Florida are solidly placed for the most part. Felipe Franks threw 4 Touchdowns alone in the 2nd quarter and looks like Florida will air the ball out more this year which helps this cover as well and note that Kentucky's DB's are indeed porous and this is Mullen's first SEC game as well so he will look to prove a point. Florida likely rolls this weekend. The Gators were already averaging 46 points in their last 5 home games against Kentucky, this could be a blowout from the start.
3-Unit Play. #379. Take Over 70 Arkansas vs. Colorado State (Saturday @ 7:30pm)
It is now or never for this CSU team. CSU got routed by Hawaii and Colorado in an ugly game and essentially their season is on the line as they look to avoid going 0-3 as they face an SEC team here on top of that visiting them. Colorado State might cover or might not cover, regardless, we like their effort to be there as they likely will be a strong active underdog as they are only backed by 20% of the public and we think they will be a great public fade and push this game over the posted total per the IC dog/active over theory. Note, Arkansas and their new head ball coach when they faced EIU the game went to 75 points on a 60 total so it is not hard to imagine seeing this game go to 70 points against a CSU team that will be highly motivated for something positive after a very slow start out of the gate.
