For those who are interested, NC Late phones went 3-3 with sides and 2-2 with totals yesterday.

They did win with their small college GOM easily on Mercer.

Earlt Bird Play loses again on Oregon, bringing the record for the season to a deplorable 1-8!!

Great point!!

One has to admit that in all of the years NC has been in business, there has never been anything even remotely close to the

record this year.

Then again, just about every EB play they have released this year is a double-digit line in the mid to high 20's or in the thirties!!

The ironic part is that, including yesterday on a number of occasions, the line later in the week was better and not worse

than the line at which they gave out the play on Monday!!

From my recollection, Phil Steele doesn't run NorthCoast sports and hasn't for some time. Brad Powers was one of his lead cappers/analyst he had working for him, Brad's since ran his own newsletter. Phil puts out Inside The Press Box he's concentrated on since appearing on ESPN for making picks, ala Joe Fortenbaugh who's the best fade there is along with Fulghum who's also doubling as an ESPN sportscenter caster.

In year's past, the early bird coming out on Monday/Tuesday has always been around 50/50.

Well, if you believe the historical record that Todd the comp guy for the EB Play every Monday, in spite of the debacle this year,

it is has been a huge success, and in the opinion of most bettors, it is and has been probably their most consistent winning picks!!

ps I can't vouch for their alleged record because I don't keep track.
