OLE MISS @ INDIANA | 01/02 | 12:30 PM EST
INDIANA -9.5
ANALYSIS: Motivation is worth a few points alone to Indiana. The Hoosiers are ticked at being omitted from the New Year’s Day bowl lineup, and fiery coach Tim Allen will have them geared up more than his laconic counterpart, Lane Kiffin, will have the Rebels. The Ole Miss defense is flat awful. Its offense is robust, but QB Matt Corral is prone to interceptions. Sure enough, Indiana led the nation in picks with 17 while playing just seven games. The defense yields just under 20 points per game and should corral Corral. Throw in some opt-outs and injuries for the Rebels, and a romp that resembles those Friday’s semifinals is foreseeable.

NC STATE @ KENTUCKY | 01/02 | 12:00 PM EST
NC STATE +2
ANALYSIS: Another oddity in the oddest of seasons: An 8-3 team is on the receiving end of points against a 4-6 foe. N.C. State feels slighted, and for good reason. The Wolfpack has won four in a row straight-up and wields a more dynamic offense. Its defeats were dealt by opponents with much better attacks than Kentucky’s, which has produced fewer yards than all but one Power Five team and led to the firing of the offensive coordinator within hours after one setback. The Wildcats’ outright victories happened against squads with a combined 8-31 record. A case could be made that the betting line should be flipped.
