Nova should beat DePaul by close to 20 or more. DePaul has had a horrendous start losing 8 of the first 11 games. DePaul ranks in the lower 3rd for almost every important category (253rd in the country in points per game, 269th in scoring defense, 257th in field goal percentage and 238th in 3-point defense. The Blue Demons have also struggled with the basketball, ranked just 328th in the country in turnovers per game. They are 303rd in total rebounding this season). Contrast that to the pesky Nova wildcats who got a signature win over the UNC Tar Heels, Nova relies heavily on 2 aspects of the game. 3 Point shooting and Defense.
Nova ranks 33rd in the country in 3-point field goals per game. The Wildcats have a stifling Defense that rotates man to zone, ranking an impressive 36th in the country in points allowed per game. Furthermore, while DePaul turns the ball over a LOT, Nova protects the ball, ranking 24th in turnovers per game, and 67rd in the nation in FG Defense, and more importantly have a big advantage on the glass ranking 83rd in total rebounding. Last matchup saw Nova winning by 16 at Depaul, and I expect this margin to be greater in front of the Wildcat contingent, decided in several phases where Nova strives (3pt shooting, FG defense and Rebounding).
