Morning boys, I am away for the weekend but I was able to get ahold of a computer so here I am. Ytd 42-22. Before I start can I just say Fvck off Xavier, they have screwed me two weeks in a row, hopefully Duke wins by 72 tomorrow. Here we go:
Uconn -8.5, This team is playing hot right now. They have won their three tourny games by an average of 18 points, they are playing an SEC team that is similar in many ways to Vandy (Vandy beat Bama in mid Feb. at Bama), and Bama has been eeeking out close games. Bama needs to shoot a high percentage from 3 to win this game and Uconn will close out quick on Winston and Shelton and not allow this to happen. Freshman Chuck Davis knocked Warrick around on Thursday, sorry youngster Okafor is going to end this. This game will be back and forth but, Gordon and Okafor will pull this one out by 12-15. Bama will not bang the threes they did against Cuse to stay in this one.
OK ST. -2.5, Will the minutes that West and Nelson have had to play all year start to show? I think the defensive pressure that Ok St. can apply is like nothing that the Hawks have seen all year. Ok St. will lock-up Nelson's penetration and that will make the Hawks one dimensional because they have no inside game without Nelson's penetration. The Cowboys have 4 good scorers who can hurt them and they will. Ok St. has also played more quality teams throughout the year and in the tourny (Memphis and Pitt-wins of 12 and 17). This will be the game of the day, but OK will end up wearing down the Hawks and win by 5-7.
