THURSDAY 1-1 +1.70 UNITS
Taking a pass on Friday and will be out of town most of this weekend!!! Here are some of the game that I like so far!!!
7 Units Ohio State -6.5 -106
If you thought Penn State bottomed out by going 3-9 in 2003, think again. The Nittany Lions are still one win short of even that meager win total in 2004, and prospects for a sudden revival are getting more bleak by the week. Penn State (0-3 SU, 1-2 ATS on the road) simply cannot score, averaging 6 points per game on the road! On the season, they have registered 119 points in seven games. That's a mediocre 17 ppg. But consider that 85 of those points came in the two wins against lower level MAC entries Akron and UCF. Against everyone else, the Lions are averaging a pathetic 6.4 ppg. It can't get any worse that last Saturday's astonishing 6-4 home loss against Iowa. Things got so bad the Hawkeyes were willing to take an intentional safety that put Penn State within range to win the game with a field goal. That's how little regard there is for this "attack" right now. QB Zack Mills has been awful but is the best of the Penn State QBs right now, and he took a concussion in the Iowa loss. With him, maybe the Lions can score once against Ohio State. Without him, a whitewash is entirely possible. The overworked Penn State defense continues to perform at a very high level, but will eventually wear down. Look for the Penn State troubles to continue this weekend. Ohio State has QB concerns, with QB Justin Zwick (shoulder) hurting, so they may have to go to backup QB Troy Smith (4 TDs, no INTs). Also, RB Lydell Ross (343 yards) is awaiting a possible suspension and may not play. Still, the Buckeyes are 19-1 SU, 12-7-1 ATS their last 20 home games. Ohio State is finally off a good game and should make it two straight without much difficulty this Saturday.
Good Luck Today,
