KEY STAT: Holland have drawn their last five home friendlies

EXPERT VERDICT: Holland were held by Ecuador in their last outing and with Louis Van Gaal set to continue experimenting Ghana are value to get a draw in Rotterdam. The 2010 quarter-finalists thrashed Egypt 6-1 to book their place in Brazil and conceded only one goal when runners-up in the African Nations Cup earlier this year.

KEY STAT: Italy have only won one (against San Marino) of their last 13 friendlies

EXPERT VERDICT: Cesare Prandelli will look to give as many players as possible a chance to impress ahead of his final squad selection, which could help a well-organised Ireland force a draw in London. Martin O’Neill’s men will be motivated to bounce back from their defeat to Turkey and can frustrate a side who have been held in four of their last five matches.

KEY STAT: Turkey have won 10 of their last 11 matches

EXPERT VERDICT: USA’s recent struggles against European opponents have included defeats against Austria and Ukraine and Jurgen Klinsmann’s men were again unimpressive in beating Azerbaijan earlier this week. They are not fancied to emerge from a tough group in Brazil and a resurgent Turkey can accentuate that feeling with a win here.

RECOMMENDATION: Turkey

KEY STAT: Germany have kept clean sheets in six of their last eight matches

EXPERT VERDICT: Cameroon qualified for the World Cup in good style, but the gap between themselves and the top sides was laid bare in a 5-1 thrashing at the hands of Portugal in March. Germany have lost just one of their last 19 fixtures and should possess too much talent to be troubled by the Indomitable Lions.

RECOMMENDATION: Germany-Germany

KEY STAT: Both teams have scored in nine of Paraguay's last ten matches

EXPERT VERDICT: France were impressive in their 4-0 dismantling of Norway and can follow up by beating a Paraguayan side lacking in both experience and quality. Victor Genes’ youthful charges may bring a sense of adventure to proceedings and the French can fill their boots in what could turn into a high-scoring encounter.

RECOMMENDATION: Both teams to score

KEY STAT: Israel are without a win in seven matches

EXPERT VERDICT: Israel ran out 2-0 winners when these sides met in a friendly last year but Honduras look to have improved and can turn the tables. The Central Americans performed well to qualify for the World Cup, finishing ahead of Mexico, who hammered Israel 3-0 on Wednesday night.

RECOMMENDATION: Honduras

Race 4 - $50,000 Guaranteed Pick Four Pool

Best Bet: WHY DON’T U STAY (12th)

Spot Play: HES A SENSATION (1st)

Race 1

(6) HES A SENSATION went a sub-1:50 mile last week and faces an easier bunch. (3) ADVERSARY SEELSTER draws inside, comes out of Moreau's barn and is very capable in this class. (1) URBANITE HANOVER went gate-to-wire last week and has been blessed with the rail. He moves up in class and may offer a fair price.

Race 2

(4) LADY SHADOW made a miscue last start and recovered well to finish fifth. She went a speedy mile and if she minds her manners, she looks like the one to beat. (1) ARTFUL IMPULSE gets the rail, is fresh off a win and comes from Hall of Famer McIntosh's barn. (7) PORSCHE SEELSTER qualified strong in her latest, comes out of the McNair barn and appears ready in her first start of the campaign.

Race 3

(6) JK ENDOFANERA is a perfect two-for-two this season and was a convincing winner in his latest. (7) LUCK BE WITHYOU is last year's Breeders Crown champion and is coming into this race in fine form. He's reunited with Pierce and is very likeable in here. (5) FALCON JUSTICE continues to surprise me with her efforts this season. He's been racing at his best, is versatile and is a good option for the triactor.

Race 4

(4) ASLAN got away too far back last week at a higher level and wasn't a factor. He'll likely be the favourite again in here and is due for his first win of the season. (8) THEPANINSULAHOTEL has all kinds of back class in his favour and shouldn't get overlooked at this level. (2) RAYS SAN draws inside, comes out of Moreau's barn and has a good on-the-board record this season.

Race 5

(3) MUSCLE BABE was spectacular last start in the debut of new trainer Menary. A repeat effort should be good enough to win. (5) MAGIC FEELING is undefeated this season from three starts, continues to improve and will offer a low price. (7) I JASMIN had all kinds of pace last week, but lacked racing room. She certainly appeared to win her elimination last week had she gotten out.

Race 6

(4) SING FOR ME GEORGE draws inside and drops in class. He's been posting speedy miles both north and south of the border and looks like he can handle this bunch. (1) MACHAL HORDAN was racing in the Preferred not too long ago and now drops in class. He gets the rail and should be positioned well in the early stages. (6) BESTOFBEST HANOVER has been racing very strong and now enters the Moreau barn. That will drop his price considerably.

Race 7

(9) DAPPER DUDE posted the first sub-1:50 mile at Mohawk last week with his gate-to-wire score. He remains in the same class, but with Waples this time. (10) EVENIN OF PLEASURE has been racing at his best in recent weeks and drops out of the Preferred. (8) ELLIS PARK posted two strong winning qualifiers, is versatile and should offer a fair price in his return.

Race 8

(4) ALWAYS B MIKI just missed in his latest at The Meadowlands, by a nose, in 1:48 4/5. He's on his game right now and went a very tough trip. (3) MCWICKED hasn't missed the board this season, draws inside and comes out of Coleman's barn. He's a top candidate with the right trip. (8) CAPITAL ACCOUNT comes out of the Takter barn, which can't be overlooked. He has excellent gate-speed and gets Zeron in the bike.

Race 9

(3) BETTER THAN YOU went a big mile in his latest to get the monkey off his back. He's rounding into form and is capable of the class jump. (1) GRIN FOR MONEY draws inside and shouldn't get away too far back this week. Class relief also plays a major factor. (8) MAJOR HOTTIE has all kinds of back class and has hit the board in three of his last four.

Race 10

(6) LETS DRINK ON IT has been spectacular so far this season and looks like the horse to beat. (4) THATS MY OPINION has been highly touted by his connections, is fresh off a win and faces his toughest test of his career. (5) HES WATCHING will look to redeem himself after tasting defeat last week for the first time in his career. Jamieson is back aboard and can expected to be put in the race early.

Race 11

(2) GENESEE moves into the Fletcher barn, draws inside and remains at this same level that he's always been a concern at. (9) DAPPER DENZIL also moves into a new barn and will debut for Puddy. He's versatile, gets Jamieson in the bike and has an excellent record this season. (6) RG RIPTIDE has hit the board in two of his last three starts and Auciello has an excellent reputation with first time starters.

Race 12

(5) WHY DONT YOU STAY closed very strongly last week with a solid final frame. He should appreciate the class relief and will be the likely favourite. (2) UPFRONT HOOSIERBOY has lots of back class, draws inside and should appreciate the class relief. (4) THUNDER STEELER drops in class, has the speed and will look for a better trip this week.

Yonkers: Saturday 5/31 Analysis
By Matt Rose
DRF HARNESS

MEET STATS: 166 - 491 / $879.50 BEST BETS: 29 - 40 / $97.20

Best Bet: NOB HILL HIGH (3rd)

Spot Play: CONNERY BLUE CHIP (8th)

Race 1

(2) SAND SUMMERFIELD was scratched the other day for unknown reasons but he's right back in tonight looking for three in a row; he could work out a pocket trip behind (1) REPORT FOR DUTY N and strike late. The latter has been very sharp without a victory to show for it; veteran looms large here. (4) ALITTLEAINTENOUGH ships in and joins a new barn; improvement is possible.

Race 2

(1) FLIPPER J went from awful to awesome in a short period of time; McDermott trainee has back class to call upon and the hike in class may not present a serious problem. (5) ROCK TO GLORY had no realistic chance in his last couple; he can compete with these when right. (6) TARPON HANOVER ships in for Surick and he looks like a good fit here; must include.

Race 3

(1) NOB HILL HIGH drops in class again off a good effort, draws best and is clearly the one to beat. (3) DULL ROAR was a good third last out off a long wide trip. (4) JACKED UP stopped on the lead in last; ten-year-old is better than that.

Race 4

(5) BIG BAD ELI has been in impossible spots in his last five but did finish with pace in all of those efforts; smooth sailing tonight can get it done. (4) THE POKESTER returns locally and he swept the field at the Meadowlands two back with Brennan driving. (6) SHORTSTACKED is clearly feeling good again.

Race 5

(3) RUSSLEY RASCAL N drops in class, gets post relief and Brennan is back driving...seems pretty logical to me. (1) PANONGAHELA was a solid trip-sitting winner versus lesser last week. (4) MR HASANI N was hounded on the front end last week and gave way; he can be excused for that effort.

Race 6

(6) DYNAMIC YOUTH has been absolutely awesome in his last two and there's no reason to jump off the bandwagon now. (8) EASY AGAIN is assigned outside again off last week's second place effort and he's got the speed to overcome the handicap. (5) DIGITAL Z TAM has hit the ticket in his last six races.

Race 7

(4) ROCNROLWILNEVERDIE has been racing reasonably well recently and may have finally found a winning spot. (1) CURATOR lacks the class of others but he does draw best. (6) MONTREAL PHIL always merits a mention with this type.

Race 8

(5) CONNERY BLUE CHIP raced well last week but he was in against some tough ones; he should find these more to his liking. (4) BJ'S GUY has been razor-sharp in his last couple. (6) MACHS BEACH BOY needs some help from this spot but he can rally for a share.

Race 9 – Lismore Final

(4) TYRA acclimated herself nicely last week with a crisp two-move effort; filly hinted at real promise as a freshman and she looks perfectly spotted to take the Lismore. (5) SOUTHWIND SILENCE behaved herself and went down the road in her elimination; Burke trainee is tough to ignore. (6) RUSTY'S BLISS went a big trip in her debut for her new barn but she faces a tall order from this spot; consider underneath.

Race 10

(2) LAWGIVER HANOVER is another classy Vallee trainee who gets Brennan in the bike tonight; he's worth a try on top. (4) CHINA GRILL was a sharp two-move winner last week. (3) CODE WORD returns locally and we all know he's more than capable.

Race 11 – Rooney Final

(1A) GOLD ROCKS may be a bit of a reach here but the Alagna trainee has raced very well in his last two and he could pick up the pieces late if something crazy happens on the front end. His entrymate (1) MAXI BON has also hinted at serious ability but needs to stay pacing. (5) *******VILLE cruised home in his Rooney elimination and Tetrick's back to drive the talented colt in the final for Ray Schnittker. (3) ALL BETS OFF jogged last week and he's an obvious threat to repeat.

Race 12

(3) DREAMLANDS ART jogged in his debut for Tracy Brainard; repeats. (5) BULLET BOB has plenty of early speed which always makes him a threat. (1) ATLAS ALLIANCE N charged home once shaking free to dispose of lesser last out; threat for the bottom of the ticket.

Race 13

(1) ONE THROUGH TEN goes third-time McDermott off of two even efforts. From this spot he's eligible to step up his game a notch. (3) SILENT SWING gets class relief and the double-millionaire will be heading to the front. (6) SIR ZIGGY'S Z TAM never wins but he did hit the ticket in five of his last six.

Best Bet: TELL US MORE (10th)

Spot Play: QUIK MAGIC (7th)

Race 1

(1)SWEET ROCK should have won last week and came up second best. He looks best once again this time around but is hard to love at 0-for-14 lifetime. (6) CARD SHOCK is another having trouble getting over the hump. Perhaps new driver Gingras can shake him up. (8) ROCKSTAR STRIDE wraps up the winless top three selections. He is fast enough to play with this group.

Race 2

(3) WESTERN VINTAGE is the fastest horse in this race and perhaps one of the fastest 3-year-olds this year. As long as he behaves, he wins. (1) DOO WOP HANOVER rallied impressively last week and certainly has talent; completes cold $5 exacta. (2) DANCIN HILL has some ability but needs to step up his game.

Race 3

(3) TRIXTON has proven to be far more advanced than his fellow NJSS foes. Everything would have to go wrong for him to lose. (5) SPEAK THE TRUTH didn’t appear to like the sloppy surface yet still showed his will to win. (4) MARTINIWITHMUSCLE is a versatile youngster who reunites with Gingras. (8) ODDS ON AMETHYST is clearly fast, but can he mind his manners if unable to make the front? He is a risky play at a probable underlay price.

Race 4

(5) MOONLIGHT IN MIAMI was a professional winner in her 3-year-old debut and gets my narrow vote over (8) CEE BEE YES, who looked very good winning in the second leg of the NJSS. (1) MY INSPIRATION comes off a nice effort and could provide value with trainer Smedshammer in the bike.

Race 5

(7) ACT NOW raced well in both starts this year and completely blew away the competition last time. She draws inside the sharp and talented (10) GETTINGREADYTOROLL and deserves the nod. The latter has posted back to back open-length 1:50 1/5 scores. (3) SAYITALL BB is off a strong mile and 9 for 11 in her career.

Race 6

(2) SUNFIRE BLUE CHIP got a race under his belt last week and now tackles one of the easier fields he’ll see this year. (7) ODDS ON EQUULEUS was in a bit of a tough spot last time. He should rebound with a solid effort on Saturday. (3) URGENT ACTION is sharp enough to get a piece.

Race 7

(1) QUIK MAGIC drops into a straight C-1 this week. The last time he saw this level, the gelding went down the road in 1:50. (8) ONTARIO SUCCESS has been closing well and only needs live cover to menace. (5) COBALT MAN & (2) MARTINI HANOVER take similar drops to the top choice; using.

Race 8

(5) CAVIART KEY is simply a feel pick. Gelding drops into a very soft spot after some even miles at Yonkers and could awaken. (4) JINS DRAGON has good speed and a driver that knows how to leave hard. (1) THE ADMIRAL comes in from Ohio for a new barn; maybe. (8) SIR MELOS Z TAM can be involved if he finds a close-up seat.

Race 9

(5) MIGHTY YOUNG JOE lucks into a great spot this week and should be pointed down the road. (6) FREDDY DAY HANOVER has been sharp of late. (7) MEGA LIGHTNING qualified back nicely and can certainly go fast.

Race 10

(3) TELL US MORE is sitting on a big mile and should break on through tonight. (2) IM BANSKY seems to find a way to lose but certainly finds a good spot. (5) RELENTLESS DREAMER is a cover trip threat. (9) HILARIOUS HALO could be dangerous if hustled away from the gate by Lachance.

Race 11

(6) THINKING OUT LOUD gets the class relief he needs to flex his muscles. (5) ALLSTAR LEGEND has put in a good mile just about every week this year; main danger. (1) ULTIMATE BEACHBOY couldn’t be much sharper.

Race 12

(9) LYONSSOMEWHERE has yet to taste defeat in his brief career and doesn’t seem likely to start a new trend tonight. (7) ROCKEYED OPTIMIST posted a nice score in his 3-year-old debut. (6) LET’S FOAL AROUND has speed and should be on the move early.

Race 13

(2) BOLDER finishes well each week but has lacked the knockout punch. Perhaps this dull group can provide the nudge he needs to win. (1) HARE CRAFT has been stuck in some fast miles lately. (7) ITTAKESTWOBABY won at this level three starts back.

Belmont - Race #3 - Post: 2:24pm - Stakes - 7.0 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $125,000 Class Rating: 95 Bouwerie S.

Rating: Golden DollarGolden DollarGolden DollarGolden Dollar

#5 HENRY'S GAL (ML=3/1)

HENRY'S GAL - I like to play horses that faced open company in their last race and drop into state bred races. This filly fits the bill. Just look at her last speed rating, 95. That one fits in this bunch. Not much speed in this race other than this pony.

Vulnerable Contenders: #2 FLIPCUP (ML=5/2), #3 ISABELLE (ML=5/1), #4 PRAIRIE STONE (ML=6/1),

FLIPCUP - Should have at least hit the board in the last 60 days in a sprint event to be worth the chance at nominal odds in a sprint. Should take this one off your contenders roll call with the insufficiency of early speed in that last route event. This steed ran a quite unimpressive speed fig in the last race. She shouldn't run much better and will likely get beat in today's race running that number. ISABELLE - Trying to beat this horse in today's event at the value of 5/1. PRAIRIE STONE - This filly hasn't had any recent accomplishments in short distance contests. I find it hard to invest in her in this contest.

Top HatGUEST COMMENTARY: Winston - HENRY'S GAL - I start with the class in the bunch then work my way down. This one's got the top earnings per start. No need to look further.

RECOMMENDED CHOICES
The Walker Group Picks

# 2 MISS THE CUE 5/2

# 1 WHAT'SYOURTROUBLE 3/1

# 5 BELLA'S DIAMOND 9/2

I lean toward MISS THE CUE here. Has been running soundly lately and should be close to the front end early on. Overall, has one of the top earnings per start in dirt sprint races in this lot. WHAT'SYOURTROUBLE - Has strong Equibase Class Figures relative to this group - worth a look. BELLA'S DIAMOND - Rosier will most likely be able to get this filly to break out sharply in this competition. If you look closely, this one has some longshot potential.

#2 MARRIEDTOTHEMUSIC
#7 EVOLUTION ROCKS
#3 UNCLE TODD
#10 STAR HARBOUR

#2 MARRIEDTOTHEMUSIC is the overall speed and pace profile leader in this stakes field sprinting at, or about, today's distance of 5.0 furlongs on the dirt, and has won an impressive 7 of 11 starts sprinting at today's distance, including a quartet "POWER RUN WINS" in his last five outings. #7 EVOLUTION ROCKS has nice early speed abilities to compliment for this sprint, and has hit the board in five straight, winning twice, including a "POWER RUN WIN" in his 2nd race back.

#6 SUNSHINE PROMISE (ML=8/1)
#4 GOLDEN ABBY (ML=8/5)

SUNSHINE PROMISE - Mare took a little vacation, but has been racing into shape. This horse wins a lot of dough per start. In the top spot in this race. GOLDEN ABBY - Contreras comes to ride again after getting to know the mare in the last contest. This mare is in fine form. Finished second on May 10th. Have to like the way Armata has raced this mare back into shape off the layoff. Animal is well spotted in this sprint and I think she'll run well today.

Vulnerable Contenders: #2 CANADIAN LADY (ML=5/2), #1 CARELESS WORD (ML=3/1), #3 IRON RING MISS (ML=6/1),

CANADIAN LADY - This horse likes to be there at the wire, but doesn't usually finish on top. Forget the top spot. CARELESS WORD - Really had to give me much more than that last out. Never made much of an impact. IRON RING MISS - Most of the time I need a sprinter to have some recent good showings in sprint races in order to wager on her. Didn't hit the board on December 4th at Woodbine. Followed it up with another lackluster try.

Play #6 SUNSHINE PROMISE to win if you can get odds of 5/2 or more

#6 ARCTIC MISSILE (ML=6/1)
#4 VAMPING THE WIN (ML=12/1)

ARCTIC MISSILE - I like when a thoroughbred wins after shipping in from elsewhere. It shows that they really like the track here. I'll take this gelding to win again. Jock jumped on this gelding's back for the 1st attempt on May 11th. Should be acquainted with the horse even better in this race. That 75 fig this gelding notched in his last affair tells me he's a big time player this time. VAMPING THE WIN - Several positive 'vibes' attached to this thoroughbred and his stable.

Vulnerable Contenders: #9 SIVA (ML=5/2), #1 ROJO INFERNO (ML=3/1), #5 NAUGHTY SCOTTY (ML=7/2),

SIVA - This gelding recorded a speed figure in his last race which likely isn't good enough in today's race. ROJO INFERNO - Doesn't seem inspiring to me after the lack of any sort of closing talent on May 17th. NAUGHTY SCOTTY - This equine doesn't have a champion's mental state. Regularly finishes in the place and show spots. Notched a pedestrian speed rating last time around the track in a $5,000 Claiming race on May 17th. Unlikely to see an improved performance off of that fig.
