Michigan to hold satellite camp in Australia on June 3. Michigan coaches were already
committed for 27 camps in the US and that list is growing.

TCU has added Alabama, Ohio State and USC to their Gary Paterson Football Camps, a
regularly scheduled tour around the state of Texas that will feature more star power.
The tour begins with an East Texas camp June 2. Ohio State will join the Frogs for a
June 3 event in Forth Worth. Alabama and USC will accompany the Frogs to Houston for
camps June 9-10, and the Trojans will follow-up with a camp in North Dallas on June 12.

One SEC coach said he received over 80 request last week to different satellite camps.
$100 for 30 campers and that's $3,000 profit for the high school. More campers, more
money.

LSU's Les Miles said he has little interest in satellite camps outside the state of Louisiana.
He joins Nick Saban as not a big fan of sending coaches all over the country to these camps.
Miles and Saban are more interested in their school's on campus camps.

Speaking of camps, Jim Harbaugh’s already-loaded schedule has now added a camp in Australia on June 3, with reported hopes for Hawaii and American Samoa as well.

I can’t even imagine the travels costs for U-M’s staff in June, not that the Wolverines are short on money. Michigan is now scheduled for more than 27 camps in June. Is this too much work for assistants? There may be limits on this a year from now, but until then, the Wolverine staff is going to max it out.

With satellite camps legal again, Jim Harbaugh is going all-out. And I mean all-out.

Michigan’s staff is now scheduled to take part in 26 camps from June 2-25, before the June 27 dead period. The camps cover 15 different states. The staff is booked for multiple camps on the same day, so assistants will likely be split up.

Michigan spent about $212,000 for a handful of camps last summer. That number will go up by a whole lot.

It's no wonder Harbaugh doesn't stay too long in one place in spite of success. Seems like he wears out the people around him. Good luck keeping his staff fresh with this pace. This guy might give Urban a good run for first to leave current job.

an unintended consequence could bite harbaugh in the ass. As these are open camps Michigan will be floating the cost to run the camp while other coaches are allowed to be part of the event. I can tell you that Bama intends to have at least 1 or 2 coaches at most of these events with Saban himself showing up to a handful of them. Jimmy found a loophole....congrats...but will end up seeing other programs picking off these kids on his dime. if they spent $212k last year it will probably jump to $2M this year

can't fn stand Dabo but he had a really good quote about these camps...."if it's too inconvenient for a kid to come to Clemson, well he ain't coming here for four years"

Add Auburn's Gus Malzahn to the list of SEC coaches (Nick Saban, Les Miles) who say they will
not travel all over the world to Satellite Camps. Malzahn recently insisted his staff will participate
in "very few" satellite camps. "We're wanting to get guys to our camp, I think that what's important.
At the same time, I want our coaches around our current players, not traveling around the country.
I'm going to do what's best for Auburn." Malzahn, Saban and Miles all believe getting invited players
on campus for camps is the best way to go.
