Well a cursory look at the card tells me that you might as well get ready to blow a few times during the night......I MEAn the chalk

We are destined to be betting a few with lower odds. But it is better to take lower odds on your WINNERS than to take a longer shot and throw the ticket away when it is over (hope it works that way tonight)

I'll be back with the picks in a couple hours when I am done. Some tighter races as well as the big deniros start appearing in those pots.

We can start with my regular drivle concerning the racing situation - let's call it my nightly "disclaimer"

Tonight we are faced with heavy purses compared to the regular "qualifying" nights. What this means to us is - the "Ringers" will come out to play. Those horses who were held back by their drivers who were satisfied with "just qualifying" will be out to put their "balls to the wall" tonight. I am suggesting that we go a little lighter in areas and let them play their cards. It will only serve to ENLIGHTEN us to hidden gems for coming weeks. Let those 30-1 's surprise us tonight and we can hit them hard next time at 15-1.
With that said......


Race 1: Weeping Wannabe/Artaffection.
Here is the dilemma....Art will be dropping class tonight into a field that he SHOULD take. Wannabe is hot ! Waples has the hands and this horse, although on the move UP in class (he won last time at this level) he KNOWS HOW TO WIN.
I am expecting Wannabe to come through at a GOOD price and Art to run a very tight second. Step back from this race if you dislike races with 5 solid contenders.
I'll be taking a shot early !

RACE2: Fulfilled Dreams
Dresden Dolly is Dropping in class but I'll lean to Trevor Ritchie on this one.
Magician is a strong entry but is prone to breaking - he will take money! This opens us to a nice longer odds horse for the exotics maybe!!!

Race 3: Star Bonus A (WPS)

Nice matchup here. Star is right in his element with no "droppers" coming in to confuse my capping.
Next will be "Playing field" and "Flight time cash" . HOPING this one will be my money maker.

RACE4: Five Kids
I almost hate to take this one. Armbro Approach is in my opinion the big upsetter here mainly because FiveKids broke last time out and that always scares me. Armbro should have big odds and if "Five" misbehaves, will battle "Bertolio" for the win.

Race5: IfIhadYourLuck

Again, in tough with comparable horses. Almost want to lay off a bit. "IfIHad" is dropping down in class and has good numbers - including a 25 quarter ! "AllStar Blue Jean" has the inside and will be tough. I have no idea what to expect from Camystic, Yulestar N or Image of Dawn but they are all a threat.
Going easy on "IfIHad" WPS & "Allstar" WPS

Amigo Hall WPS

I like Sugar trader and Capt Brady.
The Captain has an on again off again breaking thing. Sugar has nothing negative to offer - only question I have is whether they held him back in the qualifiers.
