Ohio state can win out and still be in trouble. Just like last yr they may have lost to only team that they couldn't afford to lose to. Penn st which has a much easier conference schedule will go to big 10 championship. penn st vs wi both will have 2 losses. Would winner be in top 4? Very scary. It would be just like last yr best team in conference not representing it. I know we have no one to blame but ourselves but I feel strength of schedule comes into play this yr..let's say wi wins we beat them at their place. Hard to believe all the great teams Urban has had only one big 10 title.

Ohio St wins out they're in despite not being in the conference championship game. The committee with look at the team vs looking at the record and who beat who. Don't think anyone will argue if Ohio St beats Michigan then they're in. What's gonna happen is the Big 10 will get two if that happens. Conference champion will join Ohio St in the top 4.

If I had to pick a top four without looking at records or conference champions, I would take Alabama, Ohio St, Louisville, and Wisconsin. Some will say Clemson beat Louisville but I said it then and I'll say it now, Clemson could not beat Louisville on a neutral field.

Agree.

But fuck Wisconsin. They too are overrated like Clemson.

we need to lobby for an 8 team playoff. while Bama is going to win it all, there are 7 other teams we could easily put in that are worthy. not every team is able to bring it every week like the Tide, but there are plenty of talented teams out there. Clem, LV, USC, Col, Wash, tOSU, Mich, OU, OKST....and even a team like WMU or SDSU could squeeze into the conversation as first round fodder for Saban's crew.

the big10 reallllly needs Mich to beat tOSU. Having PSU in the championship game vs Wisky would be awful.

this is going to be very interesting to see how this all shakes out.

Bams is in. #1 seed. even a loss to Allburn wont change that and that's not happening anyway
if Mich wins out, I think they are in. Otherwise if Wisky wins out, they are in. If PennSt wins out thru the ConfChamp...BARF.
if Wash wins out, I think they are in.
if Clem wins out, I think they are in

sadly, losing at Clemson is going to keep LV out of their champ game and it's going to be very hard to put them in the final 4 unless Clemson loses again, and even then, they arent a shoo in.

tOSU not making their champ game is going to be a challenge too. they would need to win out Wash or Clem to lose again IMO.

so much emphasis on the conf championships these days. 8 teams would really make it more fair. it would also allow teams to schedule TOUGH non-conference foes without the fear of losing the game and missing out on the playoff (see: Sooners, Oklahoma). And face it, CFB and it's fans win with 8 team playoff and better non-conference matchups.

If we're throwing 2 loss teams into the mix, that opens up a whole lot more doors.

Although WI does have a high rating now, we know that doesn't necessarily mean much when the committee ultimately decides.

I kinda think there won't be much movement in the BCS rankings

Exactly. And Osu even beat wi on the road. Anymore these conference champions are determined by unbalanced schedules. Example is Osu will play at wi at msu(usually a top 10 team) at penn st and ne Nw mi at home. We played both wi and penn st back to back who had byes. Penn st did not play wi or ne or nw. Then you have the win at Oklahoma witch might not mean anything if you can't get to conference championship game

I agree. Louisville is more deserving than Clemson.

Forget the conference championship crap and give me the four best teams right now! That's the whole point in have the "playoff committee"!! Take the best four and if someone gets their feelings hurt then oh well, organize a cry in or something. There's enough "football" people on the committee that know who the best 4 is. If not, let Vegas pick the top 4!

what if Ohio St or MI win out? both 1 loss teams beat WI

what if Clemson wins out?

what if WA wins out?

what if Auburn or FL win out and win the SEC? what happens to Bama who's still in IMO

I'd lean WI in, but it's no sure thing just yet

I always have this question. What is better Clemson losing to Pitt at home, should of lost to nc state at home, could have lost to Troy at home almost lost to auburn. Or Louisville losing at Clemson in closing minutes? Which scenario is the better team?

Louisville will be #3 Tuesday night

1-Alabama
2-Ohio St.
3-Louisville
4-Clemson

I prefer Michigan at #4.....I doubt it though.

Tuesday night is easy. It's what the final 4 will be if Al-osu-Clemson-Louisville-wa-penn t or wi win out is the problem. The big 10 really needs mi to win out to save itself from embarrassment of having penn st in conference title game with wi

I don't see how anyone can justify Auburn even if they win 50-0 from here on out. What I saw yesterday was some of the worst football of my life in that second half
