Do they really enforce the dress code in the box seats? On a Friday?

I'm all for dress shorts or pants and a collared shirt, but jackets?

It seems to me in practice they're very loose, any first hand experience out there?

Willie, I’ve been able to spend one day for the past 5 years in a box just past the finish line , I do wear a jacket with polo shirt and dockers, I have seen jeans and dressy shorts or no jacket the past few years, I usually do this the last week of the meet

That's pretty much what I told him, Joe.

Khakis and collared shirt should get it done.

Thanks gentlemen

I told everyone to dress neatly with a collared shirt and bring a jacket. Will leave them in the car unless we need them.

The website states dress codes "strictly enforced". But my eyes and your words tell me otherwise

Mikey, circling back about the cost. On the NYRA website, these tickets are listed at
$ 77 per and you have to buy a whole table of 5. They're all the same price on every day, which is odd

On that same site, every other ticket imaginable has a wide variation in prices.

Jeez Willie, I was there Saturday and could have checked out the latest clubhouse dress code expectations. Sorry bud but it totally slipped my mind.

Table of 5 with individual TVs? That's different. Maybe I heard you wrong. Anyway, you'll have a ball.

Wish I could make it again this weekend but that isn't going to happen.

Was checking around the NYRA site and found this dress code for the 1863 Club section of the clubhouse.

Dress Code
Jackets and blazers are optional. Appropriate attire includes vests, collared shirts, polo shirts, sweaters, dresses, pantsuits, dress jeans, dress shorts, and slacks.

Cargo shorts, t-shirts, halter tops, midriff tops, athletic wear, frayed or torn denim, and flip-flops are not permitted. The dress code does not apply to children under 12.

Hope that helps.

Looks like all the bad weather has pulled out and you’re gonna be left with a beautiful day, Willie.

Have fun. Good luck.

Friday was cancelled, but NYRA sent me an email and they're refunding the tickets and the parking. Made it as easy as possible.

Saturday was great, with the only drawback being infield races were either cancelled or only had 4 to 5 entries. I won $ 250, that's remarkable for me and horseracing

Love Saratoga, the town and the track

Willie, good to hear you won and had a great time, it's amazing that the last 2 Saturdays they had a crappy card while cancelling races and off the turf on others but still had over 35,000 for both days, a great family environment.

Glad you had a nice weather day Saturday and a good time, Willie. Were you in the old clubhouse or the new 1863 club. I've never been in there. But it looks pretty nice with the outdoor verandas.

Me, the handicapping veteran that I am, dropped seven bills when I was there two weeks ago for the Whitney. You made $250.00!!!! Nothing like Saratoga. When you win it's like the cherry on top of the sundae! Fantastic!
