WOW what a field! Anyone of these horses could win this race. Any goof can point to Honor Code and Tonalist as they will most likely be that favorites in the betting. However I hate favorites. They will kill you faster than a bullet and this race is full of value.
#1 Shugs HONOR CODE. Buried Tonalist in the Met mile last out wth a very impressive 1:33.13 mile and 112 Beyer. This horse broke his Maiden here and had an amazing 47 flat 4 furlong work at Belmont on July 12. I think hes aimed at the Breeders cup. Very tough 5 wins in 8 starts against quality fields. MAJOR PLAYER.
#2 Clements TONALIST this horse won the Belmont in 2014 and is very competitive however has been quite a money burner as of late. In his last 9 starts he has been less then even money 5 times and only won twice and is 0-2 at Saratoga although he has a 2nd and a 3rd.
#3 NOBLE BIRD an absolute monster effort in his last at Churchill mowing down the field in the Sfoster with a 1:47.97 at 1 1/8. Horse s really coming into his own.
#4 LIAMS MAP has won 4 straight against nothing like he will be facing today. However it is Pletcher and Mike Smith didnt fly in for the Bagels.
#5 MORENO won this last year laves the strrip 4 for 4 in the money and will be a huge price.
#6 VE DAY hasnt been the same since he won the Travers here last year. However he is 2 for 2 at the Spa and jerkins knows how to get them ready.
