The interview was about what you would expect from the MSM. A couple minutes of actual issues and then 5-7 minutes of "tabloid" type journalism and defending the fellow liberal. I don't recall seeing Lauer defending Imus for his "comedic" comments directed at the Rutgers "nappy headed hoes".

My personal opinion on Palin is that she will never be a serious threat at winning the national office. She does however have a place in fundraising and a niche in the party.

I agree with that.

I'd still love to her and Newt Gingrich run together.Newt is smart enough on how to use her.

heh.....Sarah Palin desperately grabbing any additional seconds of limelight before she fades into utter historical obscurity - being remembered along with Geraldine Ferraro, Lloyd Bentsen and Dan Quayle.

HEY! I like Geraldine!

I thought it was a good interview, and I think Lauer pushed it as far as he could go. At least he's not milquetoast like Larry King, and I wouldn't characterize it as an asskicking. Palin has become more polished, but she's still too repetitive. Her overall message that gov't needs to be smaller is right on.

Good point...For the past ten years or more, whenever Larry King interviews anyone under the age of 50, especially good looking females, he's like Really Really Creepy.

I still don't see where Obama is so much more qualified to hold office than Palin. Those guys the administration are running around like a bunch of 15 year olds with a big allowance, blowing money on any crackpot scheme that comes into their minds.

Letterman is like Pauline Kael, when Reagan was elected. She said "I don't see how he could have won - I don't know one person who voted for him."
That's because these people only associate with others that think just like they do.

Matt Laur is a lightweight who can't hold his own with Palin. He should stick to interviewing Tom Cruise.

Joy Behar on The View is another one who is bending herself into a pretzel to defend Letterman.

Letterman, Laur, and Behar can all get together at some party in New York -laugh at flight attendants, make fun of Palin and her kid, and discuss how Obama, Barney Frank and Pelosi are saving the world.

These people are out of touch with reality. They are true elitists.

Did she accuse Letterman of being a pedophile?

No. What she said was that she wouldn't let him near her daughter, Willow.

I guess some extremists may interpret that as her calling him a pedophile.

I would say she's mocking his lack of class.

BTW: I thought it was a decent interview. Matt wasn't bad, he was asking mostly legit questions. Sarah did well with her responses and showed that unique political personality that makes her popular with so many.

Based on the family track record, Sarah should stop worrying about David Letterman getting "near Willow" and instead concentrate on making sure high school males don't start plowing that young furrow.

Shes the executive of an American state....Obama hasnt been the executive of anything....The left hates her as she is a woman that is popular and strong and they will try anything to get to her and hurt her career....this may backfire on them and garner sympathy and increased popularity for her...

She's making a big deal about her misinterpretation of what Letterman meant. Even big dumb Dave wouldn't be so stupid to have it mean her underage daughter.

To think this woman was running for Vice President at one time really makes me shudder.
