Are you ready for this? I scoured the net and found +190 at betonline.com for the over 1.5 yards on Willie Parker's first reception....are you kidding me? Bet the farm!!!!!!! Not only is the total low, but it's a plus figure!!!!!!!!! I know RBs can get caught for a loss, but come on, 1.5 yards?

Thoughts?

Willie is a horrible receiver.....

Not even sure he'll catch a pass.

I believe the o/u on his catches is either 1/2 or 1 reception...I'll have to look it up again.

it varies from book to book, but how can he not catch one pass and how can it not be at least 2 yards?

willie only runs when he comes in, or pass blocks. moore is the pass catch threat. you have to read up on these players before you make dumb bets like this. he's caught 3 balls all year.

This is the biggest sucker bet on the book. Willie isn't used on 3rd downs because he can't catch. Moore is.
He is used as a pass blocker when in there for passing situations.

He's caught 3 passes all year, which is definitely a concern, but at those odds i may take my chances.

Don't do it, they RARELY throw to Parker, he also has horrible
hands. I would bet a prop bet for NO RECEPTIONS

Is it "no action" if he doesn't get any catches? If so, it seems like a reasonable bet to me. Especially at +190. Although I definately wouldn't call it the "safest" prop bet offered.

Don't know about betonline.com, but the ones I've seen are "over 1.5yards/under 1.5 yards or no receptions" some books say this more explicitly, so be careful...at +190 I would say that no receptions would probably be a loss in this case.

Yeah, that's the deal breaker.

If its +190 I am almost 99.99 percent sure that no receptions= loss unless the book is making a huge mistake.

If no receptions= push I would put my house, car, and bank account on the over.

He did have 3 receptions during the regular season all of which were over 1.5 yds.

He had 1 reception vs Bmore in playoffs for negative yds.

I would suggest taking Mewelde Moore over 1.5 receptions and over 12.5 receiving yards. He is their third down back and is a very hard runner after he catches the ball. The Cards are going to bring some heat on Big Ben and he will dump some balls off to Mewelde. I would even bet they throw him a screen pass or two.

Willie Parker missed a ball against the Ravens that a lot of High School kids would have caught. There is no way I would bet a prop that called for Parker catching any balls or getting any receiving yards.

Yeah. They use Mewelde effectively as a recieving back. He's got a decent set of hands. I doubt Parker is thrown to once.
