I would love to see that happen. Saban is not good for Alabama and I wish him failure wherever he lands next. His lies when he left Miami were disgusting

How could he even have a discussion about leaving Bama already? Does he consider himself a rental? How could you ever get another recruit in your life, if you left at this point?

WTF

I'm sure he's a great coach. But who wants to hire a guy that is gonna put in two years and leave? What does he tell a recruit's parents? "I want your kid to come to Bama, so I can exploit him at cornerback when I'm coaching Auburn or LSU next year."

Saban is a fantastic recruiter. Recruiting is the great equalizer. Tide fans, I am one, are just glad it is anyone but Shula.

Saban's recruiting is evidenced in LSU this year. They have Corky from "Life Goes On" as their coach and they still almost make it to the national championship strictly on talent.

Illini, you of all people should know the importance of recruiting and the fantastic job Zook has done with Orange Crush Midwest. He realized speed was key and got some absolute studs.

i'll be interested in how well zook continues to recruit once locksley is gone. it wont be the same.

saban has a loaded class coming in this year and im sure he'll soon be adding the #1 wr in the nation to the list of commits. its a great year for instate talent in bama and hes cleaning up. they'll have a top 5-7 class.

I don't think Locksley's going anywhere for a couple of years, at least.

thanks bud. my uncle coaches with the vikes and my cousin is a scout with the colts. ive had football in the family and i really enjoy it. i follow the recruiting and all of that. i couldnt do your taxes, but i could name the top few recruiters in the country. lol not real useful most places, but this is a place where you can talk about things like that from time to time.

as for what illini has stated, i wouldnt be surprised to see him get the cuse job, although that is the one HC job my uncle could have a shot at (my uncle was the oc at cuse with mcnabb in the best seasons cuse had in recent memory). he (locksley) is great in the ne. he absolutely cleans up the washington area.

I'm not sold on the LSU has the most talent in the country arguement. On defense maybe but who is the talent on offense. Besides Doucet what offesive player is even projected to be a 1st day pick in next years draft. The QB isn't even a thought. Hester is nothing special.

As a Alabama fan the only job I have ever thought he would leave for is LSU.
As much as he has moved around,it would be a joke for him to take any other job except LSU.He can at least somewhat justify it by saying LSU has always been where his heart was at to begin with and that he regretted leaving LSU from day #1.When He got out of the NFL,LSU had a coach now they dont.LSU fans would take him back if he said that.Les Miles would have just kept his seat warm for three years.Saban can pick up where he left off even with some of his recruits still at LSU.He can say,"This is my home, this where I want to be,this is where I want to retire.I made a mistake leaving for the NFL and I wanted back into college but what I really wanted was to be back Lousiana State."
Yes he would take hits in the media and across the country, but he already does and is hated anyway. If he was where he loved and the people love him there then who cares what Espn,Abc etc say?

not all that good an argument. how many offensive players do you think will go in round 1? lsu will have 1 of the 16 offensive starters and 3 or 4 of the 32 first round draft picks. their most talented qb is a soph, williams and scott are their two most talented back (both soph, both over 6.6 pr carry), their #2 wr is a soph and their #3 is a juco transfer, their starting te is a soph, and they play 2 sophs and a jr on the oline. most of their team isnt even eligible for the draft.

knowledge is our friend. now you have more of it.

Saban shows loyalty to no one, not even his family. He will be a cancer wherever he goes. He has ruined football for many people. I hate the bastard.

Yes I know about those guys but the Soph's were recruited by Miles not Saban. So how exactly would they count as talent that Saban brought in? What he said was that Miles is horrible but still almost made the national champ. game because of Sabans recruits.
