Doesn't depend upon actula spread of game:

For example:

Indy @ Det

Indy (131) - Det (114) = Indy +17 (131-114)

Road favorite 17-21 pts = 0-0 ATS

Chi @ Dal

Chi (115) - Dal (109) = Chi +6 (115-109)

Road favorite 6 pts = 4-5 ATS

So no real strong indicators for turkey day games....

just a quick a question, i understand the systrem doesn't not involve spreads, just your point system, but have; example

sd 123 vs kc 121 =road team fav by 2, which is 3-2 ats. now of the five games how many of the road teams where actually favored or dogs and their records. do you keep track of that, or is it something you did at once and it was to much of a hassle with no rewards.

if the five games all had road favorites actually for a line, then a dog would be even better for a bet.

after about 6 or 7 years of doing this i got it to the point where it is about as accurate and consistent as it gets.

at first i kept track of everything, when giving at home while catching the #'s,while catching at home and giving the #'s, when it's afc vs nfc, etc, etc,etc.....
i found that it was too much overthinking without making much of a difference at all, that's when divisional realignment cleared all the nonsense up and made me aware of keeping it simple.
it seems to work much better this way.

these four pt ratings seem to be the best this yeart, is every year the same. so at the begginging of the season do you know which ones to use, or do they change every year.

i also remember reading that you said that they change towards trhe end of season. i that still true.

the last couple of years a change happened about midway through the season where steady winners became steady play againsts, and visa-versa.
but this had happened at weeks 7,8,9.
in years prior to that the system just cruised straight through the year, i believe this is one of those years.(at least it has so far).
as far as which plays continuosly cover or fail, they find themselves every year.
last year road favs of 5 went 9-1, home favs of 7 went 7-1-1, road favs of 4 went 9-3, road favs of 7 went 0-6-1, all by years end.

so it changes for different #'s every year, the only thing that stays the same is the principle.

i'll see about some reasoning before the game starts.....#'s system shows home favs of 14 pts and up are 4-2 ats, nothing too strong.
