But at least Ryan Leaf is out of the hoosegow.
According to Andrea Fisher-Nitschke of theGreat Falls Tribune, Leaf was released from a Montana prison on parole Wednesday.
Leaf spent roughly half of his five-year sentence on drug and burglary charges in a Montana prison, after being kicked out of a treatment program for threatening a staff member.
He had to complete a chemical dependency program to be granted parole.
The former Chargers quarterback may find it hard to get another coaching job (he was at West Texas A&M when he was arrested), but hopefully he’s been able to make the changes he needed to lead a productive life.
