I think that you are going to be very disappointed this year. I like Peyton and Brees so I hope they have a good season but you may be a little too optimistic

When you have the best offense in the NFL and its not even the equivalent of how good the defense is I think I'm not being optimistic.
Anything less then 14-2 and I will be shocked.

The Saints defense is better then Seattle

I don't think the Colts have ever had a good defense and that is even including the year they had the #1 and #2 overall picks in the draft and used them on defense (pre Peyton Manning). Oh well given the 2 I would rather be great on offense and suck on defense than vice versa. Jacksonville once had two 100 plus rushers during a game. The year they won the super bowl, they had statistically the worst defense during regular season although turned it on during playoffs because Bob Sanders.

We'll revisit this at the end of the year.

Sure will just like you guys said you would revisit my thread last year when I predicted the Saints would have a top 10 defense last season one year removed from having the worst D in NFL history.

Its funny how nobody revisited that thread at the end of the season when the Saints finished 4th.

I predicted last season that the Saints D was the strength of the team before the season started.
I said the Defense was better then the offense before the 2013 season when the 2012 defense was the worst defense in NFL history.

I got laughed at and made fun of big time.

Final results from last season.

Saints Defense #4
Sants Offense #5

This season I am saying they will be #1 in both categories.

People do not realize just how scary the Saints are on D.
It gets over shaddowed by Drew Brees and the offense.

Im here to tell everyone right now that the Saints D is THE best D in the entire NFL and thats not homerism.

Dallas Cowboys

Offense
Our Qb is coming off back surgery
Our backup Qb is Beezer

Defense
Ranked dead last in 2013 giving up avg 413 YPG which is more than any other team and 3rd most in NFL History. Ranked 30th against the pass and 27th against the run. Top CB Carr can't stay healthy. CB Skandrick won't play first 4 games because he took Molly. No improvements made this year

Cowboys will have to score 40 points a game to have a shot at winning games this year. Ain't happenin'.

Finally going to break the 8-8 trend. Prob with a 6-10 er.
We need turnovers every game. We need them bad.

Would not be surprised to see them give up 40 pts a game this year.

chiefs

the chiefs are going to struggle badly.first off the play the nfc west and i don't expect them to win a game there.

their offensive line is all but gone and the one in place is really medicore. It does not help that stephenson is suspended the first 4 games due to substances.

WR's are poor after bowe and he will miss the first game due to a suspension. The rest of the wide outs are very suspect, small and unproven.everybody was talking about this guy from canada but i have not heard anything about him in a long while, nor do i know anything about him.

RB's,all you can say is CHARLES,and after him you might as well close your eyes cause your not going to see much.Depth after him is nothing.

The defense is good with the front seven, but after that its very poor.Berry is the only decent safety and the coenerbacks are horrible.they will get beat badly if there is no decent pass rush, heck they may get beat badly anyway, lol.

SUMMARY,the chiefs are going to be in rough shape to win five games this year.Im glad i bet them under 8.5 very early at a good price cause the under is very high right now.I know people are going to say,you went against your own team, well the chiefs don't send me any checks during the year for rooting for them so money is money and there is no way they come close to 8 wins this season

If the Steelers don't get to 10 wins, Tomlin has to go. They have 8 games against teams with a combined 37-91 record last year. They only play 2 games on the road against teams with winning records, the other 4 are at home. The other team, Balt, was 8-8. LeGarret Blount is a cancer and has to go. They have an average O line finally. Yes, for them, that's great news. If they let Ben go no huddle when he wants, there's no reason to not reach 10, maybe.....just maybe 11 wins, with that schedule. Now, because of recent events, the backfield may be getting thin. That could hurt them bad.

i believe the steelers also don't leave the timezone all season,so that is a big plus for them.

i don't think ive ever seen a schedule like that before

Bengals are in the 4th year with Dalton and Green look for another Division Title with 11 or 12 wins

whats not to like maybe the cornerbacks need to step it up DLine and Backers are solid

Offense no question will get it done

Their D isn't that scary, especially in the weak South. Seattle's is far more intimidating. We'll see what Seattle's DB's get away with this year though.

Saints have the 2 best safeties in the NFL.
If you don't believe that now you will believe it 16 weeks from now.

The Saints will have the #1 D in the NFL this season.
Bump it in 16 weeks.

Miami Dolphins:

Offense: This is the year I'm expecting Tannehill to be mentioned with better qb's of the league. The ball placement, eye manipulation, presnap reads are all there. Bringing in Lazor to replace Sherman cannot be understated. Love what i've seen so far of the new offense being that they attack the def on all levels. A real oc is able to hide the weaknesses of the off and we finally have one.

Oline looks much better, although it couldn't be any worse. After having 2 turnstals playing ot, made a splash signing by bring in Albert. 1rd pick RT James looks legit and ready to start now. His pass pro is far ahead of his run blocking. Really need Pouncy back, who most likely is out til after the bye. Both guards are below average and Pouncy, at least, could help mask their deficiences as the only interior move athlete on the line.

Moreno is a very underrated signing. It is night and day between him and the jags who played last year. The vision, pass catching, and blocking are all vastly superior to Lamar Miller who should serve as nothing more than a breather. Arian Foster made a living hitting cutbacks and Miller clearly lacks that ability. The line lacks strenghth and short yards will be hard to come by.

Receiver position is deep and wouldn't miss a beat if Mike Wallace left.

Defense: Should have one of the better def's at getting to the qb. Wake is still a premier pass rusher and Olivier Vernon, who led the team in sacks a yr ago, looks even better. However, don't expect big things out of last years no. 3 pick overall. Dion Jordan has been terribly mismanaged by this coaching staff. This offseason he added too much weight and isn't carrying it well. It was obvious in wk1 of preseason when he tried to split off the line and cover the Atl TE. This would have been an easy assignment ly, now he just looks lumbering.

Run def was not good and now Soliai is gone. The lb's were a major weakness ly and the only change was switching Misi to mlb and Ellerbee to solb. Misi is marginally more instinctual but will be a liability in pass cov. Just not a 3 down backer. Wheeler is awful and whenever in position ends up with air most of the time. 6th rd pick Tripp and udfa McCain were getting run with the 1's in preseason. That should tell you how bad wheeler and Ellerbee are.

Gotta disagree. Rambo was a liability last year and Ryan Clark will be much more reliable. The pash rush is going to be one of the best in the league with a healthy Orakpo and the addition of Hatcher.

I mean, the first team D has looked great all preseason. Even right now against the Ravens if you are watching it. 5 tackles for loss in the 1st quarter. They are blowing up the line of scrimmage. Fun to watch.

ryan clark wasn't that reliable in pittsburgh, not sure what makes you think he'll fare any better in wash.
