RX Poker Bash

I was on the phone with a few execs from the Nugget. They have almost one hundred rooms booked and most with double beds. The RX poker tourney at the bash will be Sat August 14th at 1pm. The concern is that the Nugget will not have the space for this size tourney. Last year some prizes(including the grand prize) were given out to people that never made a post in their life but were friends of posters.

Therefore I think this years tourney should only be for posters. At the very most one friend per poster allowed and if he or she wins they give their sponsor(poster) 1/2 of what they win.

Ken is taking care of it he says so we will see what happens.

All prizes including the ones at the dinner. Last year someone's friend won the grand prize and a few others worth about 3k and all I got was six lousy t-shirts that I resold on ebay via oldfriend.

It's getting harder and harder to make money gambling buddy I had to find other ways of earning income. Still have a medium Hollywood shirt(slightly worn)for two bucks or highest bidder.

My friend was gonna enter the tourney as well, but thats because i mentioned it...

She enjoys poker, but if thats the rule, no problem here...Sure she wont mind playing the slots while im playing.....

I say whatever Shrink says are the rules, ARE THE RULES....He is picking up the tab, so no questions asked here....

Should be fun...

It is just not right for these sportsbooks to put up in the poker tourney's case 5k and get people who never even heards of the books to win money from them. Enjoy the free rooms, free food, and free drinks. Leave the prize money to people who take the time to make the site what it is.

Hey, I remember from last year that some guy who won a big prize had a girlfriend...well if we are using poker lingo...she had a "high over pair."

Shrink is hosting this and he makes the rules....whichever is fine ...my friends im bringing do not have to play if they are not allowed

I would say, not only just posters, but a minimum number of posts to be eligible for prizes. Something reasonable like 100.

It's only logical that prizes should go to posters and posters who contribute.

last year when they gave out the rolex it went to a friend of a poster......this year I doubt that will happen

You can bet that only posters will receive prizes this year...

In order to compete in the poker tournament, everyone will have to wear their posting handles as name tags and have at least 100 posts...

If we find out someone is wearing a name tag that is not who they are, they will be asked to leave the table and the hotel...

This is the fairest was I know of to make sure only posters receive prizes...

I am open to all suggestions if someone has a better idea...

I can see it now ...Hotel Security!! Come quick!! that man is Not The drunkguy!!! remove him from the premises...

serious though good Idea ken...at LEAST the part where posters only win prizes
