So far I havent been able to convince any of my broke cheap skate friends to come with me. I'm arriving on Thursday and in case I'm still billy no mates (probable) is there anywhere Rxer's in town early meet up unofficially Thursday night ?

I expect you will see a sea of Rx shirts in the Race and Sports Book and adjoining sports lounge on the nights before the Bash.
I think those that were cramped at the Nugget sportsbook will be pleasantly surprised that basically you will have the run of the 3rd floor (where the book, lounge, bar, and reception hall are located) for most of the time you are here.
The only drawback is the sports lounge turns into a Karaoke Bar early in the evening, but I suspect that might even be right up some of you folks alleys (not mine, though).
Worst case scenario, you can't find an Rxer around. Go to the sports book and ask for the Green Doberman. He's the ugly guy who puts out those weak lines you sharps will undoubtedly pounce up. (He also will likely have a pocketful of drink tickets)

We have regular service in the race book for those customers. If you bet on sports, we do give out drink tickets as well.
Our policy is flexible because we have some who wish to abuse the system.
I plan to take very good care of Rx'ers, but I think everyone realizes it is a business and those who wish to freeload will be treated as such.
There is a leprechaun who stands on the bar at O'Shea's next door and pours shots directly in your mouth during happy hour. I think that might be more your speed.:toast:

At IP, my experience, they won't just give you drink tickets, you have to ask for them and I can't remember but it was either one or two tickets for every 100 wagered.
If IP takes notes on this, I love the sportsbook, but last year for the NCAA tournament they did not have enough people working, the line was well over half an hour to get bets in and i missed all the 9 am games.
