I plan to come into town Wednesday morning with a couple of high school buddies. Plan on staying somewhere on the strip for a couple of nights before moving to the Nugget for Friday and Saturday nights. I don't plan on paying more than $40 a night for a place on Wednesday and Thursday nights in the middle of August.
Plan on spending the first couple of days at the pool and bar before doing some gambling at the Nugget. Can't wait.

$69 is next to highway robbery for a downtown hotel when you factor in the other days that are being paid for. ESPECIALLY if people are getting into town early

It was tough sneaking the tuba section into my room. I do believe the Badger football team doesn't play at UNLV again until Sept. 2010, so FW, I think you won't have to put up with too many of us Cheeseheads this year.

well then a smart guy like you should be able to spot multiple other hotels with MUCH better rates....like $59 or $49

And since you're willing to walk several blocks back and forth, back and forth, back and forth - the $10 a day savings Really Adds Up

I'll be there from Sunday-Sunday. Staying at my normal place until Friday and Off to the Nugget.

I have the same plan except with my wife ......Staying @ the MGM pool Wed Thurs & Fri ......then off to the Nugget Saturday .........
